A Contest? I Think Not
I usually don't write about things like this here, because they're reserved for my personal blog. However a Kotex representative emailed me about a contest - the theme of which is very, very close to my heart at this specific point in my life.
If you've been following my blogs, Tweets, Plurks and status messages you would already have guessed that I recently made a huge decision. It's one that involves the end of my compromising the things that really matter to me. It took me weeks to decide, but you know what? Once everything settled down, I've never felt so good these past few months. I stopped over-eating. I stopped feeling so stressed and pressured. I stopped compromising and everything just fell into place.
If you're not happy with what you're doing with your life or who you're with you should admit that there's something wrong. That's really where it all begins. Then, "don't determine what's impossible before it's even possible". Life's too short to waste on things you don't even like.
So I want you to do something for me. I want you to leave a comment about a time when you didn't compromise something important to you. It could be about your career, love life, passion, appearance, whatever. Tell me how you arrived at that decision and what happened afterwards.
Don't do it for the prize. I'm really interested in your story, but aside from that, I want to remind you that if you can be strong and courageous once, you can do it again.
