Find Your Perfect Match With Clinique
I’m sure that, like me, you’re already jaded about finding the perfect foundation. There’s just so many factors to consider - your skin type, undertone, acidity, shade, and personal preference - that it sounds almost hopeless to find a foundation that seems to be made just for you. I totally know how that feels. Before I got my HG foundation, I had to do a lot of research, soul and bank account searching.
Foundation madness, from L-R: super oily to oily skin (types 3 and 4), combination skin (types 2-3), and dry skin (type 1)
Well, I wish I found out about Clinique foundations sooner. They’ve got something for every skin type and problem! The shade choices are not as extensive as MAC’s but the quality is definitely better. I don’t want to speak too early since I’ve just started to roadtest the foundations they gave me (Superfit Makeup and Perfectly Real) but can I just say that I’ve been looking at my face all day? The foundations can rival the Shiseido Supplist I just got! I don’t want to speak too soon but it looks that Clinique foundations are Holy Grail material.
Anyway, here are pics from yesterdays fun event!
The guests were asked to take a short quiz on the iMac to determine what type of foundation is best for them. Factors were the skin’s reaction to the sun, oiliness, preferred foundation type and so on.
After the quiz, we were sent to the makeup artists. They swatched the three closest shades on our jaw.
Clinique foundations: from the right is the Clinique Supermoisture Makeup, Perfectly Real Makeup and Superfit Makeup
From the left is the Perfectly Real compact makeup (rectangular pan), Superpowder Double Face Makeup (round pan), and Superbalanced Makeup (in the glass bottle)
As you can see, Clinique’s foundation range is a pretty solid one, targeting our major skin problems. They prescribed the Superfit makeup to me since I’m oily, but they also gave me a refill of the Perfectly Real foundation, their newest line. I’ll be posting an in-depth review of both very soon. If you want to find more info on their other foundations, check out this post. It has a short description and price of each.
More pics of the event after the jump!
With the lovely May Samson of Clinique! She was wearing these really nice shoes from Mango. I wish I took a pic. PS, I’m not as fat as I look here.
From Lauren’s cam: Noelle, me, and Lauren
Smashbox eyeshadows, MAC Fluidline, Shiseido Supplist and Nyx Pumpkin Pie on my face. Winner combo if you ask me. I’ve got a sort of tutorial for this smoky eye. WIll post soon!
