Q: What are Sirtuins and how are they linked to the aging process?
Sirtuins are naturally occurring youth extending agents found in the skin. Sirtuins help maintain the healthy equilibrium of cells and therefore can help delay the appearance of the aging process.

There is NO harmless amount of sun exposure for the skin. Even small amounts of UV exposure contribute to photo-aging, alterations in the immune system, and possibly skin cancer. Clinique was among the first brands to advocate daily sun protection at counter and never use less than SPF 15. However, in some cases, using an SPF of 15 or higher can compromise the texture of the formula. In the case of Youth Surge, Clinique is able to offer an aesthetically pleasing formula that a consumer can use daily and layer with their individual foundation and makeup products without feeling greasy or heavy. This daily anti-aging moisturizer is formulated with SPF 15 to help protect the skin from incidental sun exposure. However, if you will be in the sun for long periods of time, be especially vigilant about sun protection and use a higher SPF.
