Dr. Jart BB creams are now in the Philippines!
Dr. Jart (the brand name comes from Dr. Jung, the company's head of dermatology + art of skincare), one of the biggest and most popular BB cream brands in Korea has finally arrived in the Philippines! I'm pretty excited because I've gotten my hands on the whole line, so I can review each one for you guys and make recommendations.
M Cafe, Greenbelt. A celebrity makeup artist demonstrated how to apply Dr. Jart BB creams using a wedge sponge.
There are four variants:
- Detox Healing BB Cream Black label. It's currently the best-selling Korean BB cream. This is their flagship product, so to speak. It should even out your skin tone and cover blemishes, at the same time reducing fine lines. It has SPF 25 (coolness! sun protection!). It's especially made for dry skin. SRP: 50mL - P1,940 / 15 mL - P845
- Water Fuse BB Crean Green Label. Its main job is to moisturize dry skin while giving a dewey, but non-oily looking glow. It's supposed to even out your skintone naturally. SRP: 50mL - P1,975
- Rejuvenating BB Cream Silver Label. It is touted to conceal your blemishes with a matte finish, thus offering some coverage. It has a sebum-controlling function to solve excessive oil production. SRP: 50mL - P1,780 / 15mL - P740
- Premium BB Cream Gold Label. It contains antioxidants to improve skin elasticity and texture. It has great sun protection - we're talking SPF 45 here, people! It offers UVA and UVB protection. It supposedly has heavy coverage that's natural. SRP: 40 mL - P3,160
Interesting, right? I know the price sounds a bit prohibitive, but these aren't so much as makeup, but skincare and makeup all in one. They claim you can sleep in it! Each BB cream is a multi-tasking product that should save you some basic steps in your daily skincare regimen.
I'll post in-depth reviews and photos in a week or so. In the meantime, you can check out these Dr. Jart BB creams in selected Mercury Drug outlets in Metro Manila.
Instead of Mercury Drug stores, you can find Dr. Jart in Watsons and Marionnaud (in Mall of Asia).
