Currently using: Mario Badescu skincare

I've read about Mario Badescu years before in magazines, but my curiosity was piqued when Kristine of Temptalia raved about it in 2009. I never got to try it though because I had the impression that MB products are expensive, but that idea is quite off the mark!

On a trip to Rustan's Makati the other day I chanced by the wall of Mario Badescu skincare in the Essences section (near the Glorietta 4 area). I quickly checked the price and saw that the Drying Cream (for drying acne) was only P795. Well, it's not dirt cheap, but it's certainly not expensive. I also got the Special Healing Powder (it's anti-bacterial and has oil control properties) for only P795. Total damage was around P1,600, plus I also got a sample size for the Acne Facial Cleanser as a freebie! Take note, the sample size is like 30ml. It will last me a long time.

I've been using the cleanser and the cream since Tuesday so it's too early to say if Mario Badescu is any good. Although, I must say that I am loving the facial wash! I'm still on the fence about the cream because while it does stop pimples from getting worse immediately, it takes longer than I hoped to completely stop them in their tracks. Only time will tell.

I have yet to use the Special Healing Powder so I have no comments. Right now though, I want to get the full-sized bottle of the Acne Cleanser (I think it's also around P800) and MB's most popular product, the Drying Lotion (around P1,000).

Stay tuned for the review ok!
