My tamad makeup looks
I was 18 when I started going crazy over makeup. I'd read through tons of blogs and watch lots of tutorials everyday, and when I can afford it with my student budget, I'd buy makeup for myself. I'd pile on colorful eyeshadows and powders just for the fun of it. As I got older though, my enthusiasm reared back a bit. I mean yeah, I still read tons of blogs, buy makeup, and enjoy applying all this gunk on my face, but the real world (work, tiredness, or just plain laziness) intervenes. Hence I have tamad looks like these:
MAC Studiofinish concealer, Colorescience pressed mineral foundation, NARS Super Orgasm, Revlon Colorstay automatic eyeliner, L'Oreal Curl Impact mascara, Paul & Joe Eye Crayon in 01, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Demure
The goal is to use as less products as possible while still looking pretty and polished. For this look, I think I cut back on my regular routine and just used concealer, powder foundation, brown eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. I also shaped my brows with an eyebrow powder and brightened the eyes with a beige shimmery eyeliner.
Now that was my day look. This is what I usually wear at night when I'm lazy:
L'egere Multi-White BB Cream, MAC Studiofinish concealer, Ellana mineral finishing powder, In2It brow kit, Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner, L'Oreal Curl Impact Mascara, MAC Harmony, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire & Ice
Red lipstick is the easiest, laziest way to get an instantly glam look. There are so many strong connotations associated with it - high-fashion, aggressive, sexy - that it can speak by itself. For this look, I skipped blush in favor of a contouring powder (MAC Harmony) so my cheeks will not clash with the lipstick while still getting good definition. I also swapped the brown eyeliner with black eyeliner so my eyes will still look emphasized even in dim lighting.
And that's it! So, what's your tamad makeup look? And I don't mean foundation and lip balm ha. I mean a look that involves some color and a bit of sophistication!
