Beauty bits at Bellarocca
It's quite silly to wear makeup during a vacation, unless it's the type where you're going to meet a lot of new people you expect to see more of in the future. Why wear makeup when you should be spending time exploring the place right? I brought a bunch of makeup but I only used the concealer, powder, and eyeliner during my trip to Bellarocca. The goal is to just chill.
I used a nifty pouch from Estee Lauder. It can house my stuff securely without having them bump around too much.
Tips on bringing makeup when traveling: bring those that are long-lasting, comfortable, and needs only a couple of tools to apply! Of course, bring only what you need to save on space and hassle (I should know!). Invest in a good makeup palette that's compact and versatile. Here are some of my travel favorites:
Face. MAC Studiofinish concealer, Colorescience pressed mineral foundation
Tools. Charm travel-sized angled blush brush, Ellana baby kabuki brush
Lips. Aquafina lip balm, L'Oreal Nutrishine lipstick in Pink Guava (a day color), Estee Lauder lipstick in Passion Fruit (evening color), Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss
Eyes and cheeks. Shu Uemura Art of Travel palette, Revlon Colorstay automatic liner, In2It eyebrow kit
I forgot to bring sunblock (ugh), but I did remember to bring the Olay Natural White moisturizer with SPF24 for the day and the Clinique Moisture Surge. I really should review that Olay product soon, it's quite good.
Oh, one last thing. The resort provided complimentary hair and body care products. They have mid-range brands L'Occitane, Molton Brown, and REN! We got a Molton Brown soap and REN stuff in our room. I love the REN shampoo and conditioner so I gotta ask: where can I buy these in the Philippines? They're really good!
