New from Avon: Advance Techniques hair care line

Last July 14, Avon introduced its Advance Techniques hair care line to the press. The event happened at the plush Marriott Hotel, where the whole ballroom was transformed into a salon supervised by Lourd Ramos, makeup counter with pro MUAs, and a studio where Jay Tablante took everyone's photos. It was a beauty addict's paradise!

Everyone got a wash and blow dry - of course, all products used were from the Avon Advance Techniques line

The svelte and style savvy Theresa Herrera hosted the program. Avon Director Ashley Ferguson flew in to introduce the star of the show, Lotus Shield, while Sen Yang, a Senior Manager at Avon's Global Research Center, went on a video conference call to talk about the technology behind Lotus Shield.

So wait, what's Lotus Shield? What's all the fuss about?

Lotus Shield (P350) is an anti-frizz product that's a hybrid between serum and lotion. It promises to take away frizz in only three days by locking in hair's natural moisture, keeping it soft, smooth, and frizz-free even after multiple washes. Yes, the product pretty much adheres to the hair and can survive two or three shampoos. It can be used only when hair is still damp.

Now, the inpiration behind the product is the lotus leaf. Ever noticed how water just slides off the leaf? It has a sort of "shield" that locks in moisture while keeping away the humidity. Avon's Lotus Shield promises to do a similar thing to your tresses.

Lotus Shield wasn't the only thing introduced that day. There is a complete range of shampoos, conditioners, and treatment products available from your Avon lady now. Variants are: Daily Shine, Damage Repair, Straight & Sleek, and Keep Clear (anti-dandruff). Shampoos are all P175/ 200ml while conditioners are at P195.

I'll be reviewing a few things from the line soon. So far, I am loving the Straight & Sleek shampoo and conditioner!

Love how everyone has gorgeous hair here
