DKNY Golden Delicious

You must have a signature scent the same way you have a signature piece of jewelry or lipstick. It just completes your whole look by taking it up to another sensory level! It's true that people may not remember what you wore but they WILL remember how you smelled like, which is why perfumes are a must in every woman's closet. 

Now, I've tried quite a number of scents for this blog - from cheap to high-end, from light to heavy - but there is only one scent that I keep going back to: the DKNY Be Delicious. It's a radiant, fun and feminine scent while still managing to be very sensible...just like me, in my mind. When I want something sweeter, I always go for the DKNY Delicious Candy Apples in Sweet Caramel. 

So now you know my history with DKNY, you'll understand why I'm totally gaga for their latest fragrance, the DKNY Golden Delicious (P3,100/50ml and P4,200/100ml).

Scent. I would describe Golden Delicious as a beautiful, warm scent that blossoms as it dries down and melts on your skin. Like all Be Delicious scents, its very feminine without being smothery and overly cloying; sensual without being oversexed and obvious. It's the kind of scent that can work for either day and night plus it's not too picky about the kind of outfits it will go with.

If Golden Delicious were a person, she would love the sun and have lazy afternoons curled up in a couch just watching the day go by. She would also adore dainty heels and printed dresses. She wouldn't be prissy and unreachable, no, but she will have a distinct air about her, as if she is moving only in an enchanted, charming world only she can comprehend.

On the technicals - the top note is Orange Flower Water, Sparkling Mirabelle and Signature Golden Delicious Apple. The body of the scent is an intoxicating bouquet of White Rose, Casablanca Lily, Vanilla Orchid and Muget.  The bottom or the warmth of the fragrance is a sensual blend of Musk, Sandalwood and Teakwood.

Packaging. The DKNY Golden Delicious is housed in the trademark glass apple bottle of all Delicious scents. It has a gold cap and a clear bottom that shows the golden perfume inside. To describe it as "elegant" is an understatement; it's timeless and memorable, something you'd like to keep even if the product is used up.

Verdict. It's for every woman who loves a gorgeous scent, really. It's now my current favorite perfume and I never leave the house without it (or one of its sisters, hehe)! I think it matches my personality, and it doesn't hurt that it works so well with my body chemistry that it smells better on me as the day goes by.
