Rapid fire reader questions
When I started Ask Liz! I just wanted a centralized, public place to store all my answers to your questions. Now, 275 questions later, I find that it has evolved into a sort of micro-community for beauty enthusiasts. I love that you guys are interacting with each other and answering other questions that I can't help with. How awesome is that? Cheers to everyone who posts! :D
Here are my answers to some recent questions.
Hi Ms Liz! I've been an avid reader of your blog for quite some time now (even choosing to read it before I hit the books getting ready for the medical boards!) hahaha! Anyway I'd like to ask for your advice on something I've always been frustrated about, my puffy eyelids. My upper lids don't have the crease you talk about on your tutorials where the top of the eyeball meets the socket. It's not droopy naman, I still have the crease where you put your eyeliner. So my question is, How do I create deep set eyes even with this dilemma? Hope you can post a tutorial! Lotsalove! - Crys
Heeey Cris! Thanks for reading my blog! I hope I won't be the cause of you failing the board exam, hehehehe. Anyway I have a tutorial on creating a crease already (c/o Dionne) - How to Create Double Eyelids with Makeup.
Hope this helps, and good luck on your exam!
Hey there Ms. Liz. This is really not a makeup question but I hope you can still suggest some good stuff. :) I want my hair to smell good all the time...like the smell has a very long staying power. I know it has to fade eventually but it seems that the products I use can only offer a couple of hours of sweet-smelling hair. I wanna impress someone pa naman (haha) P.S. i have long hair so i want it to smell good all the time. it's kinda my asset ;) Thanks! -Nerys
Hi Nerys, try the Bed Head Tigi shampoo and conditioners. They are the best smelling hair stuff I've tried! As in, it smells super good even if you don't wash your hair for two days!
Snoe also makes this hair oil slash fragrances, you should try it out. They're rather sweet for my taste though.
Try to also spray a bit of your perfume directly on your hair. Or spray some on your hands then smooth all over your locks. ;)
Hello Liz :) How would you compare Benetton Bianco Woman to DKNY Pure Verbana? It seems they're on the same smell category. I've been planning to buy verbana but the benetton one might be a cheap alternative. - Georgette
Hey Georgette! Verbana has a greener scent, muskier, and lasts longer. Bianco's idea is indeed quite similar, except it has a more orchidy scent with some green. It's also an EDT while Verbana is an EDP, which means it has a higher concentration of perfume oils. Hence the price difference! (For reference, DKNY Verbena is P4,900 for 100ml while Bianco is P1,350/ 100ml).
Hi Liz! I know sunscreen is key to prevent fine lines & wrinkles caused by premature skin aging. However, I find sunscreens too sticky or I get too oily which melts my make up easily. I tend to sweat alot too; especially on my forehead, nose, and upper lip area. Any good facial sunscreen that you know of that can solve my problem? SPF30+ would be great. Thanks! - Lian
Hi Lian, here are my favorite sunscreens! They are ultra-light, non-greasy, and don't feel like sludge once you start sweating heavily.
Clinique Derma White City Block Anti-Pollution SPF40 PA+++
Hope this helps! :D
