Laura Mercier Holiday 2012 offerings (with prices)
Would you believe that it was only a couple of weeks ago that I finally tried Laura Mercier? I mean I check it out in Rustan's every so often, but something else ends up catching my attention. I think it's high time to look closely at the brand and what it has to offer!
Laura Mercier started out as a painter in France, and then moved on to become a makeup artist to the biggest stars in the 80s and 90s. It was in 1996 when she built her own company. She is all about creating the flawless face, with focus on glowing, natural-looking skin. Most of her makeup are neutral but I observed that they come in quirky and interesting shades far removed from the usual browns.
Art Deco Muse, the Holiday 2012 Collection of Laura Mercier, is inspired by the decorative architecture, style, and mood of the Art Deco Period in Paris in the mid-1920s. The look features golds and bronzes paired with high-shine reds and deep blacks. The face is sculpted and nails in rich shades of blood red and noir.

Aside from Art Deco Muse, there are SO MANY new products in LM's line up! I got to photograph my best picks. Do check them out if there's something you like as many of them are limited edition.
Special sets to give as gifts or to keep. The Mini Lip Glace Collection (5 mini-glosses in one box) and Mini Kohl Eye Pencil Collection (8 pencils) are both P1,950. Tried the glosses and pencils and they're both pretty nice!
The Creme Smooth Lip Colours come in 18 shades and a swanky bullet packaging. P1,250 each.
That palette on the right is the Flawless Face Book that comes in three shade selections (nude, sand, tan). Each has a tinted moisturizer in a compact, concealer, mineral pressed powder, and brushes.
And this is on my personal wish list. It's the Artist's Palette For Eyes (P2,650). I LOVE THE COLORS. I like them better than Urban Decay's naked because it goes beyond just browns - it has a golden violet, sable, navy blue, and mauve. Very versatile and more fun to use!

This is the Glamour Wardrobe Dual Decker (P4,350). Get this if you're looking for a complete palette to use this season. It has eight eyeshadows, lip colors, and cream blushes. So handy!

This I have - it's called the Colour-To-Go Portable Palette. It has 3 eyeshadows, 1 cake liner, 1 lip gloss, bronzer and blush. Cool huh? It's P2,250 a pop and comes in Cool (purples) and Warm Neutrals (brown/olive).
Didn't know Laura Mercier makes hand and body products! These smell wonderful, with key notes of coco cream and vanilla.
These holiday collections are driving me crazy. Crazy! Do let me know what you think of this collection, and if you plan on getting anything. I'm really smitten with the Artist's Palette for Eyes buuuut I just got three new (equally gorgeous) eyeshadow palettes on my doorstep and I'm not sure how I can jam them all on two eyelids. Huh. Dilemma.
