FOTD + OOTD: Peaches and lemons

Is there a way to wear bright eyeshadows conservatively? It sounds like an oxymoron, true, but it can be done. The trick is to show just a flash of color on the lids - there's no need to cover every centimeter of available space you know! Keep the crease color a neutral brown, taupe, or charcoal (go light or as deep as you want). The bright colors should only show whenever you close your eyes. ;)

And that's my quick tip for today. ;) Anyway I wore this to a couple of meetings last week. I finally took out this fringe skirt I bought last December - it's a crowd favorite, at least the people I met seemed to like it. But it's quite difficult to style! How would you wear it?

Landmark top / Studio Line skirt / Ever New wedges / Casio watch / Pinkbox bangle / Tory Burch satchel

Yeah yeah I need to pose better and improve the quality of my outfit photos. I just had one of the sales associates at Pinkbox snap a picture. It's so embarrassing to stand in the middle of the mall! I really admire fashion bloggers who can look totally comfortable posing in a public space. Okay I'm rambling now. Here be the details of the makeup!

Face: L'Oreal Lucent Magique Foundation and Concealer Pen (under eyes), Amazing Cosmetics concealer (spots), Bare Minerals mineral powder foundation to set

Cheeks: MAC Harmony to contour, no blush

Eyeshadows: Artdeco Eyeshadow Base, Beauty Pro Cosmetics Palette (the yellow and peach), Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (Faint on crease, Foxy on brow bones)

Used that peach on the first comlumn, third row on the lid then added a flash of yellow on the outer third of the lid

Faint on crease to blend everything together, Foxy to highlight brow bones and erase any remaining edges

Eye definition: K-Palette eyeliner (the micro version, which is how I was able to create a super fine black line - didn't want to overpower the colors!), K-Palette Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow, Revlon Colorstay Overtime Mascara
