Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder in Rose and the series recap

The Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder in Rose (P3,550) is a superfine tinted powder than can be used all over for that rosy glow, or layered as a subtle blush. It smoothens pores and adds that elusive freshness without ANY shimmer. I'd say it has a petal-matte finish.

I prefer to use this as a blush more than a retouch powder because, well, it's in loose form. Staying power is average. It's the super smooth texture and the finish that attempts to justify the luxe price.

And the price is quite luxurious. It's about P3,550 for a 4.7 gram pot! If I had that money, I would prefer to go for Bobbi's awesome mineral foundation or a Shimmer Brick. They'd even be cheaper, or I can buy both and add a little more.

Overall, the Bobbi Brown Retouch Powder in Rose is quite pretty but it's not something I would recommend for an everyday kit. Makeup artists would appreciate this if they're looking for a very specific finish for their clients. :)

So! This is the last installment of the Bobbi Brown Week here at Project Vanity. I enjoyed doing this, plus, it's easier to come up with content when I have only one theme or brand to think about. What do you think? Should I do more themed weeks like this?

Here's the series recap!

Monday. Did a  shimmery dark lilac look using the Bobbi Brown Twilight Night Shimmer Ink. Such a beautiful eyeliner slash cream eyeshadow!

Tuesday. Are you in an ongoing war against dry hands? Then you'd love the Bobbi Brown Extra Hand Cream. It feels quite nourishing, and works in a jiffy.

Wednesday. One of my current favorite powders is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose. This golden pink-lilac shade can make the dullest skin come alive!

Thursday. Idiot-proof pretty eyes in a couple of minutes? Possible! The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Rose Gold is like a magic wand that can brighten tired, red eyes. It's long-wearing too, so no need to wear primer even if you're oily!

So there you go. :) Hope you enjoyed the series!
