Watsons: New look and major haul
What's your favorite Watsons store to shop in? Mine used to be in Mall of Asia, but now I am loving the newly opened SM Aura branch! It's huuuuge, and everything is organized in a way that makes sense. You can go there the first time and easily figure out where stuff are. The new space is also a joy to shop in, with fresh interiors and even new classy counters.
Watsons actually had a recent regional rebrand. You'll notice the new logo, wall decals, even new uniforms when you walk in the store. The look isn't that noticeable unless you're observant, but these changes contribute to the overall fun of shopping in Watsons. If you've been to the one in SM Aura then you'll know what I mean! Everything is just so...bright and fresh.
Pharmacy! I always drop by to replenish my medicine cabinet after ogling the makeup ;)
The Watsons team gave me some gift certificates to shop with so I got a few of my favorite things + new drugstore makeup to review for you. ;) Here's my haul!
There is no reason for you to buy branded cotton pads and wet wipes. Swear. The Watsons label ones are just as good as the more expensive ones! They even come packaged together or there's an ongoing buy one take one deal. That's why I always replenish my stocks there - my money goes a longer way. Those two packs of round puffs? They're only P69, buy one take one pa. The wet wipes (pack of three) are only P89. Cool.
I also love the Watsons travel containers and jars. The set up there is just P119 while the small sifter jar (for my Ben Nye Powder) is around P30 I think. I also grabbed a few miscellaneous stuff like blotting paper, emery boards, and alcohol.
Oh I also got my fave makeup remover, Bifesta! I run out of this so quickly ugh. My favorite variant is the Moist one as the one for oily skin makes me feel dry.
Of course, other than the personal hygeine stuff, Watsons is famous for its extensive cosmetics section. They exclusively carry brands like BYS, e.l.f, Flormar, GOSH, Z.A, and so on. There are a lot of new brands, in fact, which is a story for another day!
I got the BYS eyeshadow palette in Guilty Pleasures and the Minerals Naturale Compact Foundation. The palette is amazing, considering it's only P499! The colors are gorgeous and silky smooth, I can't believe they're drugstore. The compact is like a dupe of the MAC Skinfinish, and it's only P600 or P700 I think.
I also grabbed the e.l.f Blush Brush (read so many good reviews), and false lashes from Ardell and Nichido. I added two popular hot pink lipsticks, the IN2IT Pink Alarm and one from the Nichido HD lipstick line.
