Cheer up with the Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Walking On Sunshine
Life advice: whenever you feel down and out, paint your nails in the brightest color you can find. The color will fool you into thinking that the world isn't quite as dark as you think; besides, if you can paint your nails, you're probably not in such a bad place (i.e. you still have two hands?). Small things like putting on nail polish can make enough of a difference, if only to force you to focus!
It's what I do anyway. :) I'm sure there are other things people do to get themselves out of a funk. What is it for you?
But let's get back to beauty. Today I want to show you a gorgeous color from Deborah Lippmann (P795, available in Rustan's) called Walking on Sunshine. It's a bright taxi cab yellow that's opaque in just two layers. I love the solid creme finish and how well it stayed on my nails! It took about three or four days before it chipped in a major way.
The color is made for summer, yes, but I think that it's cheeky enough to be worn year-round. It initially looked like a difficult color to pair with my outfits but it surprisingly works for edgy, feminine, and casual looks. I remember wearing it with a red and white printed dress and loving the contrast!
Walking On Sunshine was actually part of Deborah Lippmann's summer 80s Rewind Collection, but I believe it is still available in the permanent line. At least, according to the website. ^_^ Grab a bottle if you're digging it!
Deborah Lippman is available in Rustan's Department Stores.
