First look: the MAC Maleficent Collection
Sleeping Beauty is beautiful and kind, but she is literally the most passive, weakest Disney princess in existence. That's why I have always been more fascinated by Maleficent, the villain. She is larger than life and is more central to the story than the heroine herself, with awful powers and the simmering rage to match! I can't wait to watch the movie tomorrow! Finally, Maleficent shall get the screen time and the actress she deserves.
If looks can kill, I don't have to come up with an elaborate plot to seal that simpering Aurora away forever.
I have a feeling that she'll be a beauty icon in the years to come. This gorgeous quad is as wearable as it is dramatic. It contains four colors that you can use for both day and night - wear them sheer-smoky for a business meeting, or intensify them for a night out in town. They're basic, pigmented, and highly blendable so they should be fun to mix with other colors!
All four shades - Goldmine, Ground Brown, Concrete, and Carbon - are permanent. You can go out and buy them all separately for around P1,000 bucks, so that will set you back P4,000. The quad, however, is only P2,530. That's a great deal if you ask me! These four neutral colors are a great way to start your MAC eyeshadow collection.
If you already have similar neutral MAC eyeshadows though, you won't get as excited. I wish MAC came out with some limited edition eyeshadow colors for serious collectors, but hey, these shades are exactly what Maleficent is wearing in the movie. It's not like MAC can come out with a bright violet just for kicks.
