It's reigning red: Seven lip colors to dominate your day
Perhaps the best thing about a storm is the resumption of normality after. It's the knowledge that you survived, and that life is back on track no matter how far the winds have blown it.
Anyway, let's all have a brighter day today by looking at seven amazing red lip colors that range from comfortable to daring! These are my favorite reds because they are simply impossible to miss. I've been embracing red lips lately (tighter than usual), probably because of the shitty weather we've been having. Red makes me feel like I can overcome anything, seize the day, rule the world. It's a color I feel every girl needs to have, regardless of confidence level.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino (P920). If you love intense reds but hate how drying they are due to the pigment, you'll love this Chubby Stick! It's the most moisturising red I have in my collection. I also like how you can use it as a stain, or a lighter red if you're not feeling anything loud at the moment. Yay for adjustable colors!
Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie in Girl's Night Out (P499). This is a purplish red that totally works for my warm medium skin. It's very similar to MAC Rebel, which I have not included in the photo only because I can't find it. But yeah, this is a more affordable dupe!
Avon Over Nature Lipstick in Cherry Berry (P259). This looks quite dark in the tube but turns out to be a loud cherry red on the lips. Such a gorgeous shade! It's not for the faint-heated but it's definitely fun. Also love the non-drying formula of this ine.
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Hyde Park(P1,550). This is a muted, almost brick-y red. It's very sophisticated and a tad bit mature - a great color for work-related engagements.
And so we come to the true, heart-stopping reds. These are my top three in that regard!
Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Heart (P1,200+). I think this was part of a limited edition collection, but nonetheless Heart shows just how bright Bobbi Brown reds can go. This is a bright, true red, almost going on neon. Even though it's matte, it's pretty creamy and not so drying compared to MAC.
MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red (P1,000). Yes, it's drying, but I love how...primal it is. It looks like the Bobbi Brown and Lime Crime in the photo, but on the lips it's darker than the two. Very dramatic. Unquestionably classic!
Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet (P920). If you're a red lover and really, seriously want to push the envelope, you'd love the Red Velvet. This is crazy-ass bright and as matte as it gets. It's just something you have to see in person to believe!
