Bobbi Brown Week: Rich Lip Color in Cosmic Raspberry

It's been a while since I've done a themed week. It's just that I find it difficult to commit to a particular topic or brand that's out of my way - meaning, unless the theme is something that runs through most of my "to feature" plate, it's going to be tricky to do. Oh, how I wish I have more time to blog! 

Anyway, I made sure that all my photos and notes are ready for this themed week as I've been using the products for close to a month now. So, let's all welcome Bobbi Brown Week where I will talk about a few picks from the brand! Yes, the same ones I'm giving to the Commenter of the Month for July. ^_^

Let's start with the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Cosmic Raspberry (P1,200+). This is one of the brand's most coveted lip colors - do a quick search and you'll see lots of women raving about it! I can see why. It's a heart-thumpingly bright fuchsia pink that would suit all skin tones due to its bluish base. It's like a classic red lipstick, sophisticated, daring, and such a complexion upper. Only, it's pink.

Color aside, the formula is also something to write home about. It's super pigmented - one layer is all you need to get this kind of opacity! It's very thin while still being rich at the same time. It's not drying on me, but if you have dry lips I would recommend a thin layer of balm first before this lipstick. 

Staying power is pretty good. It's on for a good 4-5 hours, and leaves a deep stain afterwards.

This is my part-ay look, haha. I didn't go to the said party though. As soon as I attached the falsies, it started to rain heavily! I was so bummed out. I rarely go out to parties at night, and I rarely go the extra mile with falsies. I just stayed home and took pictures so that all the effort won't go to waste. -_-

Back to the lipstick. It's the perfect party lipstick, but I've also worn this at daytime with less the makeup. I find it bright and fun but not tacky.

Yes, my face looks very yellow in these pics! That's because I was wearing an exceptionally yellow foundation that's a bit dark on me. Only noticed it after I took the photos.

Overall, I love the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Cosmic Raspberry and can see myself wearing this often as one of my statement pinks. Check it out if you're into similar colors! The long-wearing, pigmented formula won't disappoint you. ^_^
