Quickie: Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Plum

A Project Vanity Quickie is something that's too long for Instagram but too short to be a full-blown blog post. I decided to put it here though so that it can be referenced by anyone searching for an easy-to-digest review. So yes, expect to see more of these! I have a TON of beauty products just waiting to be "Quickied" here haha.

One of them is the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Plum (P395). I've mentioned the formula here before, but Plum is a new color that landed on my lap late last December. It's a gorgeous shade - deep, seductive, and sophisticated. Definitely not something you'd expect from a brand like Burt's Bees. I was pleasantly surprised with this one!

It actually brings to mind the Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala. Marsala is an earthy, brownish red that's bound to dominate all areas of beauty and style this 2015. I'm sure a lot of pricey brands have a version of it out already, but I find this humble Burt's Bees lip balm does a stellar job interpreting the color.

Yes even though it's probably by accident since this is called "Plum", haha.
