For lovely glossy kissers: TheBalm Read My Lips Lip Gloss

The more products I try from TheBalm, the more I fall in love with the brand. It's just been consistent so far in terms of quality, the fun packaging, and of course, the reasonable price points in Beauty Bar. I think it's one of the most underrated makeup brands here in the Philippines. Try to explore it one time (if you haven't yet) and you just might be surprised!

Today, I've got a lip product for you to chew on: TheBalm Read My Lips Lip Gloss (P675). It's a highly pigmented gloss that's almost-but-not-quite a lipstick. It's creamy and has the opacity of a lipstick, but with the feel and high-shine finish of a gloss.

It adheres to my lips easily, giving full coverage in just one swipe. The gloss stays on for an average amount of time - about three hours, less if I eat or drink. The pink (POW!) stains so it gives me color for longer but the nude (BAM!) goes away once the product slides off. Oh, this also has a fragrant candy scent! I don't mind scented lip products at all so it's cool.

What I appreciate about the formula is the even distribution of pigment - I mean, look at that nude - and the cute packaging. I'm ok with retouching since the product doesn't flake or pill on my lips at all. I also don't need to use a lip balm since I find it hydrating enough.

BAM! is a peachy nude with surprisingly full coverage while POW! is a bright, blue-based pink. I love BAM! and have been grabbing it often since it goes so well with my looks. I'm into nude or dark lipsticks of late, as you know, and haven't been wearing brights. It's a phase. 

Above is BAM! and below is POW! What do you think - is this nude a keeper? I very much think so!

Overall, I recommend TheBalm Read My Lips Lip Gloss if you like opaque glosses with yummy scents. Try BAM! on the next time you visit Beauty Bar! It'd be lovely on fair to medium skin I think.
