Finally, Jo Malone is arriving the Philippines
My first ever Jo Malone cologne was gifted to me by a sweet client for my birthday. It came in a pretty box with a luxe grosgrain black ribbon tied around it, and it felt like I was opening something truly special. It was so unexpectedly generous that I still treasure my bottle of Blueberry & Bay Cologne up to this day! I use it whenever I want to feel refined yet understated. It's what I wear when I want to smell clean and expensive without seeming like I tried too hard.
Of course, I sprayed it only sparingly because Jo Malone, until recently, didn't seem to be coming to the Philippines soon. I didn't know when I can replace that bottle again! I travel but I often don't have time to go hunt down for shops near me. I would much rather buy products here in Manila if I can find them.
But I've got good news for you all. The wait, my beauties, is finally over. Jo Malone will open its first ever store in the country this October in Greenbelt 5! You can find your favorite scents, candles, and body cremes, as well as get the full London-inspired experience while shopping. I can't wait to see how the store will look like but for now, I've got photos of what transpired during the launch a few weeks ago!
Jo Malone treated the press to a sumptuous lunch in Blackbird at Nielson Tower. I love the food there - it's always fresh, full of complex flavour, and definitely worth the expense. It's one of my favorite places to eat with friends! The white-and-black interior was the perfect set-up for Jo Malone's event.
Debbie Wild, Jo Malone Studio Lifestyle Director, graced us with her presence to talk about what makes this perfume brand so well-loved around the world. Debbie travels internationally to further promote the brand’s unique service philosophies, offering in-depth knowledge into the brand’s lifestyle concepts, and the captivating and unusual ingredients of Jo Malone fragrances.
She talked about how the brand's scents are designed to be layered together to create something unique to you. There are hundreds of possible combinations so it's unlikely that you'll walk into a room smelling exactly like someone else!
Guests were also treated to a hand massage using the Body Creme and sprayed with a JM scent personally handpicked for them according to their personality. This tied in with the brand's philosophy that you must layer and surround yourself with a fragrance that will last all day.
Curious about the prices? According to the brand managers, the Cologne at 30ml and 100ml is at P3,490 and P6,980 respectively. The Body Creme will retail for P4,900, while the Home Candle will be at P3,570.
