Rave: Estee Lauder Nutritious 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser and Radiant Gel Emulsion
It is both easy and hard to write a rave review. It's easy because I love the product/s, so words flow naturally and sincerely. I've used it for weeks and have seen results. I want everybody to try it too! And that's precisely why it's hard to write reviews like this. I end up rambling and raving and boring readers to tears. So I hope I can make this as short yet as interesting as possible!
First things first: the new Estee Lauder Nutritious skincare line is Holy Grail material. If you're in your 20s and looking for something to luxuriously brighten up and help lessen your oily skin, the Nutritious is your soul mate. It's not cheap, of course, but it's a little bit more affordable than other Estee Lauder skincare because it's made for the younger market.
The cleanser for example is P1,700 for 125ml. That's a lot of product and the price is about the same as an entry level luxury brand. Since we're talking about Estee Lauder - definitely not entry level! - it's a better deal than usual.
But wait, what is the Nutritious line all about? This new skincare formula is "infused with the exclusive Pomegranate8Complex™ to activate the 8 key dimensions of healthy-looking vitality for skin that’s Nourished, Hydrated, Energized, Calmed, Supple, Refined, Smoother, Radiant." It promises to revitalize and improve the texture of skin in just 8 days.
The Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Vitality 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser (P1,700) is a thick, foaming facial wash that smells absolutely lovely. It has a berry, slightly floral scent that's so refreshing! It's the best-smelling skincare I've tried to date - and believe me, I have tried many of them. It really feels like I'm giving myself a treat every time I wash my face.
A small amount creates a thick foam that gently scours away the day's dirt and oil. It's a non-drying cleanser which will leave your skin feeling refreshed and somehow hydrated. It also has another function: it can be used as a mask! Just leave it on your face for a couple of minutes and then tissue or wash it off to give your skin a brightening boost.
I love it! I do wish it comes in a cap that just pops on and off. It's a bit hassle to unscrew and screw the cap back on, IMHO. Still a great cleanser at a great price. It's likely I will buy this when I run out, along with my other HG cleanser!
The first few times I used the Nutritious Rosy Prism Radiant Gel Emulsion (P3,750 for 50ml), I can already feel the difference. My skin became smoother and softer, and the blackheads that pop up every so often began to slowly disappear. Did I tell you about the incredibly light gel texture of this moisturizer? I've tried many gel moisturisers but this one I swear is the lightest of them all. It's almost like you're touching water, yet it hydrates so effectively! Perfect for oily skin.
The only downside is that I feel I need to use more product to get hydrated. Perhaps I just got used to the feel of my old moisturizer, which was a heavy cream.
I feel that the texture of my skin has improved significantly in the six weeks I've been using the Radiant Gel Emulsion. Before, I can feel rough areas on my chin and nose. Now, my whole face feels feels soft and just gosh darn smooth. It's hard to describe! My skin looks more radiant too.
This makes me think of an expensive and elegant egg souffle haha
However, I did notice that my dark spots faded slower. Before this, I was on an anti-spot regimen (Estee Lauder Blemish Serum + Clinique Brightening Cream) so post-acne marks are gone in less than a month. I've just been exclusively using the Nutritious moisturizer so I was able to observe how my blemishes aren't fading as fast. I definitely need the EL Blemish Serum before it.
Still, the Estee Lauder Nutritious Rosy Prism Radiant Gel Emulsion is a fabulous moisturizer that transforms and brightens skin, and has the best, most sosyal scent ever (same as the foam cleanser!). If you love luxe yet ultra light moisturizers, you have got to try this!
