Staff Picks: Favorite Eyebrow Products
Some of us can forego a few makeup products - there are those who can skip blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, even foundation. But you’d be hard-pressed to find a makeup aficionado who does not apply anything to her brows! Women with groomed and well-defined brows know what they’re about. Brows frame the face and aid in our expressions - I mean, just ask Emilia Clarke!
The Project Vanity staff is crazy about keeping their arches in perfect shape, and share their most trusty brow products below!
Nikki: For years, I’ve been using my In2it Waterproof Eyebrow Powder for a strong yet not too overpowering kilay. I love how there are three shades as I use the darkest one for defining (I like transforming my arched eyebrows to straight ones) and mix the lighter two colors for filling in. It’s been two years since I bought it and though I use it every day, I’ve only recently hit the pan.
Kathleen: Definitely Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in No. 2 for me, as the color is a natural grey-brown that goes very well with my hair. It is also very buildable, I can do either soft or strong brows with it. I don’t need to sharpen, and there’s a nice spoolie attached. It’s just perfect really, and so cheap too. I also adore Model in a Bottle Eyebrow Sealer; it’s the only brow product I’ve used that is truly smudge-proof. I never have to worry about my brows fading now that I have this in my arsenal. It’s HG material!
Kimberly: My current fave is the L’Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit in Medium to Dark. The shade is just right for me, and I love how easily I can bring this tiny kit with me anywhere. The dual ended applicator might seem a little flimsy, but does the job for quick touch ups. I use the powder to outline the shape and proceed to apply the lighter colored wax all over my brows. I then mesh things together with a spoolie.
Den: I use different brow products depending on my mood. Benefit’s Gimme Brow worn alone is perfect for a super quick no-makeup look, or layered on top of other products to fix hair onto place. For pens/pencils, I like Tony Moly’s Lovely Eyebrow Pencil (a steal at just P178) and of course K-Palette Lasting 2-Way Brow. To create darker arches, I follow this trick I learned from Liz and mix a few drops of water with In2It brow powder!
