Budget Beauty: The best eyeliners under P500
Eyeliners can do three things: they can open up your eyes, make them smaller, or add a pop of color that looks fresh and fun. Luckily, you don’t need to spend too much to get definition for your peepers. You can find great eyeliners for under P500, and we've rounded up a collection of our budget favorites for you to try!
Etude House Play 101 Pencils (P348)
These multi-purpose pencils are known for being smudge-proof and budge-proof. Some even have the ability to leave a pretty stain. Best of all, you also have a huge spectrum of colors to play with! There are pinks and reds, browns and blues, purples and blacks, and even nude skin tones which you can use for the whole face, including your lips, cheeks, eyelids and even blemishes.
Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencils (P149.75)
If there’s an eye liner trend you want to try but don’t want to spend too much on, try these buttery smooth and long lasting eye pencils. They offer a great variety of colors with a gorgeous metallic finish. It works fine on double lids but my fellow monolids, let us use this wisely as it may smudge a tiiiiny bit. You'll probably want to couple its use with an affordable eyelid primer.
Yadah Auto Gel Liner (P395)
If the Japanese have perfected the mascara, I think the Koreans have perfected the eyeliner. The Yadah Auto Gel Liner doesn’t smudge and is as opaque as it gets. The combination of its rich pigment and matte finish gives your peepers intense definition, even in photos. Make sure to let it set for a few seconds before allowing yourself to blink!
Maybelline Hypersharp Liner and Wing Liner (P379 and P399 respectively)
Before I start talking about this eyeliner, I just want to share one tip: these two go on sale often. It’s cheap enough as is, but it can drop to just P300 if you keep an eye out for discounts. ;) Both are fab liquid liners that won't smudge or budge, and the difference mostly lies on the length and thickness of the brush tip. I find that I need to shake the pen, though, to get a more opaque line.
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner (P449)
Gel liners are my personal favorite as I find them easier to use, control, and line with. This formula may take a bit more to set compared to other liners, but once it does, you can cry all you want without worrying about getting panda eyes. It already comes with a brush, which is pretty convenient. As with all other liners on this list, close the lid tightly to prevent the product from drying out!
