Store Tour: Banila Co. launches their second space in Robinsons Manila
The number one Korean brand for base makeup finally opened up its second store in the Philippines! We were invited to celebrate the launch of Banila Co.’s Robinsons Manila Branch, its second after their Glorietta 4 store which opened last November. Heavy traffic could not stop beauty lovers from flocking to Banila Co.’s latest store. It was all worth it, as the new branch is absolutely beautiful!
I was immediately greeted with a display of their bestselling cleansing balm upon entering the store. Did you know that one tub of Clean it Zero is sold every 4.8 seconds? This award winning sherbet-type hypoallergenic cleanser took the online beauty community by storm when it was first released, and for good reason. Just look at how efficient it is in action!
I came a little early so I got the chance to get a good look around before the makeup demo started. I totally loved the Get This Look! displays. They tell you the exact products you need to recreate the Lit from Within, Brightening Glow, and Velvety Smooth looks. Personally, I’m a fan of Song Ji Hyo’s stunning radiance. Totes getting my hands on the CC line soon!
They invited YouTuber and makeup Artist Shebby Liquete to host the event and do a makeup demo using Banila Co. products. Instead of the typical makeup tutorial however, the model was already fully made-up with a Western, Kylie Jenner-esque kind of look. The challenge was to transform half of her face into a softer, Korean style, daytime appropriate FOTD.
I’m so impressed with the CC cushion and Prime Primer Finish Powder. Shebby was able to top it on the pre-existing makeup without caking, and they were able to achieve a smooth blank canvas once again. The Prime Primer Finish Powder was actually recently selected as the best finishing powder in GlowPick, an app for K-Beauty junkies. GlowPick is kind of like the Asian MakeupAlley that I’ve been dreaming of all along!
Check out the difference below! The right side definitely looks more youthful and fresh with the blended brows and light eyeshadow, sans the strong contour.
Here’s me trying my luck at the special Toy Crane they setup. I was determined to score a Banila Co. loot bag but I’m sadly not made for this kind of game as I’m one of the few who left empty handed even after two tries. Boo-hoo!
