An offer too big to refuse
If you can’t beat ‘em, buy ‘em! And that’s exactly what cosmetics giant Estée Lauder did recently. The multi-million dollar company just bought Too Faced Cosmetics for a reported sum of $1.4 billion! That is the largest acquisition ever made by the company. According to sources, Too Faced is actually the second brand that Estée Lauder bought this year: the company also just closed a deal with BECCA Cosmetics, buying the brand for an estimated $230 million.
President and CEO of Estée Lauder Fabrizio Freda noted that the acquisition of Too Faced was a perfect addition to their growing portfolio, as it is a brand that complements their vision of a beauty brand that’s “unique, feminine, and has a millennial communication focus.” The future is looking bright and super colorful for Too Faced, as news is quickly spreading of possible stand alone stores as well as an expansion of the skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics range. It may not even be Christmas 2016 yet but Maybelline is already teasing us with their exciting plans for 2017! Known for their affordable yet quality drug store products, it’s no surprise that the five new product additions are not only budget-friendly, but budget-friendly, too.

Kylie Lip… Cases???
First there were the lip kits, then came the eye liners, the eye shadows, palettes, and now a store. What else does Kylie Jenner have up her sleeve? Well, think something along the lines of every millennial’s favorite accessory: their phone! The 19-year-old makeup mogul just announced on her app that she’ll be dropping Kylie Cosmetics phone cases! No word yet on the price and release date but we’d definitely be proud to flaunt our love affair with makeup with this statement design.
