Ever since Riri showed that it can be done, brands have been trying their best to make beauty more inclusive. That's why Benefit Cosmetics’ launch of a new foundation initially had people wondering: why 12 shades? The Hello Happy Foundation ($29) is a lightweight texture foundation that is buildable and breathable on the skin. It blurs pores and gives a flawless (but not cakey) finish. According to Benefit, the 12 shades in the range “stretch” to match multiple skin tones, and that formula is designed to closely mimic skin.
