The best facial washes under P500
Cleansing is the most important step in your skincare routine even if you don’t wear makeup. Facial cleansers are formulated specifically for clearing our face, which means that they can remove the dirt and grime inside our pores - something soap alone cannot do. No matter how small your budget, you can find good quality facial washes that will keep your skin clean and healthy!
Here are are few of our recommendations.
Celeteque Brightening Facial Wash (P150) can be easily picked up together with your groceries, and is cheaper than a frappuccino. The product lathers so richly that a small pea-sized amount is enough to cleanse the face and neck. It is formulated with Niacinamide to brighten the skin and nanosomes C&E which fights free-radicals, enhances skin elasticity and revives worn-out skin cells.
Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam (P198-248) comes in 12 variants for different skin concerns. I particularly love #6 Tea Tree and #5 Green Tea because it helped clear the breakouts on my forehead. It also lathers well, and removes light makeup like BB creams!
Editor's Note: Liz here! I have the Blueberry and it smells FANTASTIC. It has such a luxe lather to it too!
Safeguard Dermasense Acne Prone Skin Facial Cleanser (P199) is formulated to fight the four major causes of acne: excess sebum, blocked pores, bacteria overgrowth, and inflammation. It also contains salicylic acid, which is known as a great exfoliant and gets rid of excess oil. This product doesn’t lather well but leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean.
I saw a friend who has oily-acne prone skin using the Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Wash (P70.50). It worked so well on her so I decided to try it, too. It’s the most budget-friendly facial wash I have tried which actually works! It removes dirt and excess oil with micro-cleanse Anti-bacterial Formula, and gives a refreshing minty sensation after rinsing. Pair it up with their facial deep cleanser and you’ll spend only around P100.50! Stay away from their facial deep cleansers if you have allergies to alcohol, though.
Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam (P398) is an exfoliating facial wash with baking powder scrub infused into the cleanser. It is called BB deep cleansing foam because it claims to be able to remove BB creams, which it does!
