Shades of Summer: The blk Cosmetics Fresh Sunkissed Creamy All-Over Paints
Going to our usual summer places may not be possible at the moment, but enjoying the sun is possible wherever you are in the country. While the heat can get unbearable, there are ways for us to bask in the sun sans the discomfort.
The blk Sunkissed Collection is inspired by the different shades of the sunset, mostly warm colors that will give you a "post-vacation glow, minus the sunburn." From this new collection, I was drawn towards the new shades of the Creamy All-Over Paints since I had a good impression with the Glow shade included in the Blk Bridal Collection. These new releases are marketed as mask-proof and multi-use for the face, eyes, and lips so here's how they fared IRL.
The blk Cosmetics Fresh Sunkissed Creamy All-Over Paint Golden Hour (P399) is described as a "Beach Peach". I like how this gives me that almost golden glow without making my face totally warm.
Palm Springs on the other hand is described as a "Drunk Blush". This is my favorite out of the bunch as I’ve been loving pink hues lately.
Summer Time is a pretty taffy brown. I like how this gives me that tanned look without getting sunburned. The heat these days is pretty intense so it is best to stay out of the sun during peak hours!
Poolside is a burnt berry. I feel like this is best suited for afternoon cocktails and post-beach parties though a little goes a long way so you can definitely sheer out to suit daytime looks.
In terms of the mask-proof claims, I find that I need to apply the tiniest amount of product to get a lovely stain that is indeed mask-proof. (See swatches below) Any more than that will have it smearing on your mask. It should also be noted that you can’t apply balm on top of this as it will move the product and will again make it transfer.
The Creamy All-Over Paints dries down within an hour but will move upon any contact with oil. Lasting power is around 2-4 hours depending on how often you drink and eat. As for the eyes and cheeks, I like how this stay on for a good 5-6 hours on me. It could be more or less depending on how oily you get throughout the day. For reference, I have dry, dehydrated skin with somewhat oily lids so I do get a bit of creasing but not too much.
The Sunkissed Creamy All-Over Paints can be purchased individually or in sets. Each set comes with a Jelly Multi-Pot, a Creamy All-Over Paint, and a Glow Gel Tint, all in the same shade. If you want to collect all the Sunkissed shades of the Creamy All-Over Paint like I did, there's the Blk Cosmetics Fresh Sunkissed Paint Set (P1,465) that has a free Fresh Deep Moisture + Collagen Face Mask in Coco Crush included.
