It looks like September is going to be a great month for all things beauty! Let’s start the good news by confirming that FENTY Beauty is coming to the Philippines and we couldn’t be more ready for it! Read up on Rihanna’s new baby as well as the exciting new palettes from NYX that fit everyone’s style (and sign), and how an online petition turned into an up and coming MAC collection! We're even throwing in a highlighter that’s out of this world and a facial cleanser that contains meteorites! There’s lots to get through so let’s get started.

It’s Element(ary)
In an age of horoscopes and predictions, it’s no wonder more and more brands are hopping on the “stars aligning” bandwagon. So it’s no surprise that NYX Cosmetics is suiting up and releasing six amazing new palettes, all inspired by the elements! The In Your Element Palettes feature a variety of shades and finishes, and despite what your zodiac sign recommends, you can definitely pick whichever element you fancy!

The Water Palette features cool-toned matte and metallic shades that are perfect for those who love a good blue in their look. The Air Palette, on the other hand, has the most amazing pastel shades perfect for creating a dreamy look. The Earth Palette is made for the coming of the Fall season with its red, brown, and green tones while the Fire Palette has a lot of bold and bright warm colors, including a striking yellow shade in the mix. If you’re into foil-like finishes then the Metal Palette is what you’re looking for, with shades that’ll help you create that perfect halo eye. Lastly, we have the Wind Palette, which, upon closer inspection, looks a bit like the NAKED Smoky - so if you’re into grays, muted purples, and cornflower blue, then this is right up your alley! All six palettes are dropping online and in-store on September 4!

It’s Out of This World!
Known for their crazy collabs and provocative product names, Jeffree Star is teaming up with real-life BFF Manny Gutierrez aka Manny MUA and coming out with another collaboration that is sure to break the Internet (or at least some wallets). The two are working on another new shade for their Skin Frost line aptly called Uranus. The new highlighter is set to debut on September 9 as a part of a set with two lippies (Daddy and I’m Shook) and will retail for $50. While there still isn’t a photo of what the Uranus highlighter looks like, the campaign photos of Jeffree and Manny are enough to make us say “Gurrrllll!”

One In A Million
Beautiful lyrics, a killer body, and a beautiful face - Aaliyah was one of those artists that the music industry deemed “gone too soon.” With millions of fans still saddened by her sudden demise 16 years ago, her music and fashion sense still live on. Thanks to an online petition that was started two years ago, the hip-hop and R&B songstress will now be getting her own line of makeup in a limited edition collection by MAC Cosmetics! The brand was first to announce the exciting news on their Instagram and though there's no word yet on what products will be included, we expect it will sell out as quickly as the Selena Collection. Word has it that Aaliyah was a big fan of MAC products, specifically their Chelsea Lipstick, Cherish Lipstick, and Chestnut Lipliner. Could these be making a comeback for the collection? We hope to find out more before next year's summer release!

And it’s confirmed, ladies! Remember when we freaked out over the launch date back in August? Well, FENTY Beauty is coming to Sephora Philippines! Based on the exciting header on the website, Rihanna’s makeup line is hitting the PH on September 8, which means you probably not splurge with your latest paycheck until then. As of now you can sign up for exclusive updates and notifications but other than that, all we can do is wait. We personally can’t wait to see what the music maven has in store for us and if the products are anything like the killer looks she’s been sporting, we'll be the first in line to buy!
