Commenter of the Month is back, and here’s our December gift!

When the new PV team was first assembled two years ago, I was surprised to see many familiar names. Pretty much everyone, including myself, had “met” Liz through Project Vanity. We were all active commenters so it was really nice to meet the real people we’d interacted with online.

These days, a lot of the interaction occurs on the Project Vanity Community page which is also fun but different. We love how the comments section provides a venue to discuss the articles and maybe even raise helpful questions on important points. Of course, we also want to know what other stories you want to read about! So, we’re reviving our fave PV tradition of awarding a monthly prize to our favorite commenter!

It's the same mechanics as before. Every month, we'll pick a commenter on Project Vanity. She (or he!) must be able to leave useful comments, such as sharing feedback about a product we reviewed. It can be a "thank you" comment, or maybe a really good question (we love good questions). A big factor would be the frequency of the reader's comments. Do they always visit? Do they read through the site? At the end of the day though, we always value quality more than quantity. Consistency is key.
