In a makeup masterclass led by premier London-based makeup artists Taisha Sherwood and Howard Kong Cherng Xiao, guests were introduced to Five Beauty's new shade, Wonder. During the session, they learned valuable tips and tricks that makeup artists use for quick and impactful looks, perfect for getting #ReadyinFive. The event was a fantastic opportunity to see how "Wonder" can effortlessly enhance any look while picking up expert techniques from two of the industry's best.
Howard and Taisha are all about low-maintenance looks, and they demonstrated how Wonder can be applied using both a brush and your fingers. Using a brush gives a stronger, more pigmented application, while your fingers offer better control and speed. They emphasized that fans don't need to stick to just one shade, as the Hybrid Colour Sticks blend and complement each other beautifully. Howard shared that his favorite combo is Wonder and Mystique, while Taisha loves pairing Dreamy and Sunkissed. She was particularly excited about Wonder because it delivers a more intense glow and saves time by eliminating the need to mix two shades.
After flying in from cool London, the two makeup artists shared their top tips for ensuring longer wear under the summer sun. They recommended using a light translucent setting powder to slightly mattify the skin. As the day progresses, natural oils will peek through, creating a subtle, dewy highlight. They also introduced the concept of undersetting, where you apply powder after your skincare routine but before foundation.
