GRWM Cosmetics Summer 2023 Collection: Must-Haves for That Glowy Summer Glam
Summer is just around the corner and I'm thrilled to add sunkissed glowy makeup looks to my routine! Fortunately, GRWM Cosmetics has launched their 25-piece Summer Collection, featuring products and colours that are perfect for fun in the sun.
The brand has introduced new formulas to their already impressive catalogue, such as the Browlift, Lip Booze, Shady Sunstick, and Glow Tint, which have been developed with formulas and shades that can withstand the heat of Filipino summers.
Let's take a closer look at each product in this amazing release:
Browlift (P399 / 13ml). This dual-ended eyebrow gel comes in a sleek matte tube with a grooming formula on one end and a laminating formula on the other. The grooming formula helps style and set your brow hairs in place without making them flat on your skin. The laminating formula gives your brows a feathered-out look by laminating your brow strands onto your skin.
Both formulas dry down to a matte finish and can hold your brows in place all day long. For best results, apply this product to clean, dry brows before your base routine.
Lip Booze (P349 / 3.8g). This sheer lip product is a hybrid between a lip mask and a lip balm, available in 7 liquor-themed shades, including G&T, Cosmo, Long Island, Soju, Pink Moscato, Manhattan, and Tequila. As a glossy lip enthusiast, I love this product because it glides on smoothly, offers buildable pigment, nourishes the lips, and doesn't feel sticky or heavy.
Shady Sun Sticks (P449 / 7g). To achieve an effortless summer-time glam, GRWM Cosmetics has released 5 bronzer shades and 4 contour shades in a cream formula in a retractable stick for easy application.
These are the most beginner-friendly products to learn how to sculpt your features. I say this because of just how creamy and blendable the formula is whether you are using a brush or your fingers. The bronzers add the right amount of warmth to the face while the contours actually come in cool tones. Long gone are the days we needed to settle for brontouring because of the lack of local contour options.
It is also worth mentioning that the shades they sent me are not the darkest shades. My skin tone used to be as far as the local brands go for deep/dark shades and knowing that I am now somewhere in the middle really says a lot about our journey towards embracing more Filipino skin tones!
Glow Tints (P399 / 10g). For those who love to glow, GRWM Cosmetics offers 8 liquid highlighters with a range of shimmers and sparkles in various colours and shifts.
These highlighters don't disrupt or move your base makeup and set well once dry. They add a natural healthy sheen to your skin and work well as an eyeshadow topper on top of matte shadows. However, blending these shades can take some effort, so it's best to build up the product gradually.
