You may have been washing your face wrong all this time

One of the surest ways to get beautiful skin is to wash your face at night and sleep without all that gunk on your face. Not only does it clear your face from bacteria but it also removes pore clogging products that can cause blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.

The question is: are you doing it right?

Cleansing your face isn’t a merely wet-slather-rinse routine. It should be done carefully and deliberately, with a good lather and a quick yet thorough massage. It may sound like a lot of work but we promise you, it’s worth it! Properly cleansing your face is a step we should all take a little time doing.

For one thing, a good creamy lather activates the ingredients of your facial wash and makes your face massage easy and smooth, not to mention, also delightful as opposed to putting the product directly on your face. Combined with a good rubdown, a thick lather also helps loosen up the dirt in your pores more effectively.

A massage can actually have long term anti-aging effects. Frequently massaging your face increases blood circulation. It increases the amount of oxygen flow and production of collagen. Massaging also relaxes tense facial muscles that can actually cause wrinkles.

Convinced? In ths video, we show you how to properly wash your face and the basic maneuvers you can do while you’re at it. We recommend you take your time washing and to not pull at the skin. What you want to do is to only skim the surface and push in - don't pull or tug!

Editor's note: This is Liz, hey guys! I do this technique everyday. ;) I learned it from all the massages and facials I've gotten through the years! It will really help improve the texture of your skin over time. Try it and let me know how it goes!
