Budget Beauty: Six lip & cheek tints under P500

I love buying dual-purpose products like eye shadows that can fill in my brows and clear mascara that can hold my lash curl or tame my brow hairs. They're really sulit because you get so much use out of them, plus it saves so much space in my kit!

That's why as much as I love lipsticks, my purse staples are actually lip and cheek tints. Most of them stay on long enough to not need retouching, but I like bringing them around in case I want to intensify the pigmentation or change up the colors. There are many good ones that are under just P500, so make sure to give these a try if you want color that'll last you all day long!

There are so many KBeauty lip and cheek tints but My Lips Eat Cherry in Juicy Red from the Face Shop (P225 at The Face Shop) is my personal favorite. It stays on my lips and cheeks until I take it off in the evening, and a single tiny bottle feels like it'll last me forever. I also like that it has an applicator brush that allows me to apply the product on the cheeks and lips with ease. It’s already affordable to begin with, but sometimes it goes on sale with a Buy 2, Take 1 promo!

If you've seen my review on KJM Cheek and Lip Stains (P110 from their online store), then you already know how much I love these tints. This Davao-based indie brand has the widest range of shade options that I've seen so far, and the colors are beautiful and stay all day! I find that they're not as drying as other tints are, and the formula used is organic. I highly recommend getting the Bittersweet Magenta, Fused, and Dolled shades as these can work for any skin tone.

The Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Stain (P150 at department stores) is probably the most popular among drugstore brands. This tint has been around for ages - remember the roller ball tube packaging back in the day? This is a classic and practical option for gals who want to be able to restock their makeup collection while running errands at the pharmacy or picking up groceries. I also like that the tube dispenser promotes good sanitation and is made of a clear material so you can see how much product is left inside. Very Red is the only shade available though, and it doesn't last nearly as long as My Lips Eat Cherry and KJM stains.

If you want to try a cream-based product, the new Pink Sugar Lip and Cheek Tint (P349 at department stores) is for you. The formula feels creamy and smooth, and even if it’s matte, it surprisingly doesn’t dry my lips! Honey Bunny is currently my favorite nude liquid lipstick, which was a bit of surprise because nude shades tend to wash my morena skin out!

Down side: the stronger shades can't be used on the cheeks without a lot of prep and hassle, so I recommend using the nude ones to get a tawny flush.

L.A. Colors Tinted Cheek & Lips (P150 at Pure Beauty) has an easy-to-blend formula that comes in a cute stick packaging. You can use this not only on your lip and cheeks, but also on your lids! The package design makes it easy to swipe on, but if you find the stick too big for your lips you can use a lip brush instead. I like the Peachy shade because it looks natural on morena skin, and Fever because it gives a delightfully rosy natural flush.

They actually have their own lip and cheek tints but the Ellana Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Palette (P499 from their online store) is even more sulit because you get two shades! It has a creamy formula that lasts for up to four to five hours, and the rich pigmentation means you only need a small amount to get a pop of color!
