Love low pH Cleansers? Here are ten Filipino ones to try now!
One of my favorite Project Vanity beauty discoveries is using a low pH cleanser. I love how my skin feels fresh and clean sans the stripped-off feeling. It also helps keep my dry skin from getting more dehydrated due to the pH-balanced formulation that’s just right for our face. There are plenty of benefits to using one and the beauty community is all for it, so we found ten local low pH cleansers to try this 2021!
In Her Element Low pH Rose Gel Cleanser
pH level: 5.5-6.0
This is one product we can't miss out when we're talking about low pH cleansers available locally. I think it’s one of the first local low pH cleansers released here. As the name suggests, the Low pH Rose Gel Cleanser (P375/50ml) has a low pH of 5.5-6 and a natural rose scent which I find quite refreshing.
Apotheke Science Philippines Pure Castile Face Wash for Women
pH level: 5.5-6.0
While the Apotheke brand is more known for their niacinamide serums, they also have a low pH cleanser. The Pure Castile Face Wash for Women (P199) isn't marketed as such but they posted the pH of their product which is at pH 5.5-6. This is made up of "100% pure saponified extra virgin olive oil" which they claim is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. But as with any beauty product, it’s best to consult with your OB-GYN before using.
Fresh Formula Daily Dose Low pH Cleanser (part of The Daily Grind Low pH Duo)
pH level: 5.0-5.5
This cleanser contains Aloe Vera Extract, Witch Hazel Extract, and Cocoglucoside which gently cleanses to prevent maskne. Unfortunately, the Daily Dose Low pH Cleanser is currently not sold separately. You can only get it as part of The Daily Grind Low pH Duo (P599).
Happy Skin Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel
pH level: 6.5
I discovered this cleanser when I reviewed their Hydrate & Glow Duo Set recently. With a pH of 6.5, the Hyaluronic Soothing Cleansing Gel (P599) is meant to work with other ingredients to strengthen the skin barrier. This pairs well with their Happy Skin Hyaluronic + B3 Boost Water Cream.
Pili Ani Gentle Facial Cleanser
pH level: 5.0-6.0
Like the brand's other products, the Gentle Facial Cleanser (P685) uses a blend of Pili and Elemi Oils. Described on their website as low pH, this cleanser promises to "keep your skin pimple-free and hydrated". I’ve read great reviews about it and if it’s anything like their Pili Ani Ageless Concentrate, it would make a good addition to the beauty stash.
pH level: 5.5-6.0
This cleanser is unique from the others on this list because of its built-in feature. it has an attached brush that provides some exfoliation without having to reach for other tools. The Lightning Bunny (P450) has very few ingredients with a pH level of 5.5-6.
Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash
pH level: 5.5
As part of their Hydration line, this Facial Wash (P140/100ml) has "Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF)" so that it doesn't dry out the skin. Its pH level was at 5.5 when this was tested. This is dermatologist-tested and included in a derma's drugstore recommendations. This is also one of the more easily accessible ones on our list since it is available in drugstores, malls, and online channels for an affordable price.
Human Nature Marine Caviar HydroMiracle Face Cleanser
pH level: 4.4-5.25
Back in 2019, I was able to review this then newly released product along with the moisturizer. The Marine Caviar HydroMiracle Face Cleanser (P250) has a pH level of 4.4-5.25 that qualifies it for this list. I remember being impressed with its makeup removing capabilities as well.
VMV Re-Everything Cleansing Cream
ph level 5.5-6.5
For those undergoing active treatment for acne, aging, or hyperpigmentation, here's a low pH you can check out: the Re-Everything Cleansing Cream (P1,170). I reached out to them regarding the pH of their cleansers and they shared that their regular cream cleansers fall within the 5.5-6.5 range. This specific cleanser is part of their active treatment range, which are "pH-adjusted to be even lower to keep skin more comfortable throughout treatment."
Which of these low pH cleansers have you tried? Are you using a low pH cleanser?
