Trying out the new Shiseido Ultimune with ImuGenerationRED Technology: Will it still be my HG serum?
The Shiseido Ultimune serum has been my go-to serum since 2014. I like how it consistently makes my skin clear and glowy. Even with an award-winning formula already (200 awards worldwide and counting!), Shiseido still strives to improve the Ultimune - thus coming out with the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate version 3.0 (P6,000/50ml) this 2021.
The new Ultimune was launched alongside the #PowerIsYou campaign featuring global ambassadors Hikaru Utada and Ursula Corbero. The campaign "seeks to empower everyone to release their innate energy, recharge their own beauty and use their power as a beautiful force in the world". By using the Ultimune, the focus is on the beautiful bare skin. This is more comfortable especially as we continue working from home and wearing masks daily.
Radiant, smooth, and resilient skin is the result that the new Ultimune wants to achieve. The formula is made with the ImuGenerationRED Technology and works with "The Lifeblood". The first strengthens the skin's inner defense for a more resilient skin while the latter enhances "inner beauty circulation" that results in healthy skin. You can read more on the #LifebloodResearch from their website. I am quite fascinated with this continuous research because I like knowing that they’re always aiming to improve.
Based on their consumer tests, Shiseido claims that you can see the first signs of improvement in three days. With continuous use, the skin should feel firm and resilient in four weeks. Finishing one bottle should visibly reduce wrinkles. I look forward to this as being in my mid-thirties, I can definitely see wrinkles starting already.#LifebloodResearch
The recommended application of the Ultimune is two pumps in the morning and evening. After cleansing and toning, it's smoothed on the face before other serums and moisturizers.
1 Day: Skin feels deeply moisturized
2 Days: Skin feels smooth and supple
3 Days: Skin becomes radiant
I have been off the old Shiseido Ultimune prior to trying out the new formula as I was testing out other skincare items at the time and I can see that my skin missed the daily use. Like I said before, the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is similar to multivitamins for the skin and with the new Lifeblood, I saw it take effect quicker than before. I usually observe for 7 days minimum but this time, I’m using the third day photo - you can already see the glow!
I like the signature Ultimune scent that reminds me of a pleasant spa experience. Not only does it sink into my skin easily, my moisturizer and other serums seem to get better absorbed like it’s a boost for the other treatments.
There’s still no effect for congested and visible pores but I’m past one week now as of writing this article and my skin does not get irritated easily (even if I did use an almost two weeks-old powder brush for the past two days – reminder to self and to all: clean those makeup brushes!). The new Shiseido Ultimune with ImuGenerationRED is definitely retaining its staple status in my skincare rotation!
