Current Shower Fave: The Olay Whitening Body Wash in Rose & Milky White

Shower time is sacred to me, as it allows me a few precious minutes to just empty my mind and let my thoughts drift wherever they may. It's a break from the constant noise of activity in my world; the time when I can literally just stop and smell the roses (or whatever's new and good in my bathroom shelf). That's why I'm always on the prowl for shower basics that are as functional as they are luxurious! Thankfully, we are never starved for bath options here in the Philippines. Olay always has our backs in that department!

My new find is the latest from the brand: the Olay Whitening Body Wash in Rose & Milky White (P99/200ml and P179/400ml at Zalora). This body wash promises to make skin look radiant while moisturizing it at the same time. I love the creamy, floral scent that ends up being clean and refreshing rather than heady; even if you prefer a different scent category, I think you'll still find the rose and milk in this Olay body wash irresistible. Give it a sniff when you see it in shelves to smell what I mean!

Now if you're familiar with in-shower moisturizers, Olay's Whitening Body Wash has a similar texture and feel. The difference is that Olay washes off without the greasy feel and - this is important - it doesn't make my bathroom floor feel slippery. It suds up into a rich lather and cleans thoroughly. My skin does get moisturized after just one wash and I can even skip the lotion afterwards! Seriously, I've stopped using lotion for a few days (four to be exact) while exclusively using this body wash and my skin didn't get papery at all.

Of course, it's still best to use a proper moisturizer to properly hydrate your skin everyday, but on lazy days Olay's creamy wash will get you through! I haven't used it long enough to see a visible difference in terms of whitening, but so far I'm happy that it keeps my skin looking even and smooth.

Overall, I recommend the Olay Whitening Body Wash in Rose & Milky White to anybody who can appreciate a great-smelling body wash that moisturizes and evens out skin at the same time. It's affordable, too, so it's an indulgence we can all have every day without the guilt. ^_^

Anyhoo I've got a few photos of the product launch here. It was a fabulous afternoon as Olay threw a fun and relaxing floral-themed event at the Manila Peninsula Hotel. A marshmallow and milkshake buffet covered one side of the Presidential Suite, while a massage and nail lounge was stationed on the other! Project Vanity's very own contributor, Karla Aguas (she does our weekly Beauty News Roundups) hosted the event too. She did such a great job, and the PV Team is so proud of her!

Celebrity photographer Sara Black also took the guests' photos as she asked us to wear a familiar flower crown. I look startled here but I feel cute AF, haha.

Afterwards, Olay treated us to a staycation at the Pen. It was a lovely room and you can bet I used that bath tub stat to try the new body wash. I even sprinkled rose petals in the tub, for effect.
