The Night Rustan's Makati Turned Into Every Beauty Lover's Dream
Hold onto your glam hats, darlings! Rustan’s The Beauty Source threw THE beauty bash of the year last September 7. This year's shindig was all about "Seeing Beauty in a New Light", and did they ever deliver! With the newly done-up Beauty Hall at Rustan’s Makati as the evening's star, it was an affair that practically had fairy dust in the air.
Considering this was only their second in-person do since the world went back to, well, normal, Rustan’s pulled out all the stops. Imagine this: a hall adorned with over 130 lush beauty brands, each beckoning for a whirl. Sashaying into Rustan’s Makati, I was starry-eyed. Climbing those opulent marble stairs through the crystal festooned gateway, I felt like Alice stepping into Wonderland – but with way more glamour!

The décor? Picture high ceilings, stately cream pillars, and marble floors that reflected the soft glow of the lights, making every brand stand out like a star on a stage. After snagging my floor guide (which doubled up as my golden ticket to the evening’s treats), I was ready to dive headfirst into a shopping fantasy.
It’s no wonder Rustan's is dubbed the "jewelry box". Amidst all the twinkling and shimmering, each corner felt like unearthing a precious gem. The big reveal of the night was the grand opening of the Beauty Hall, with a splash of glam from Ms. Universe 2018, the radiant Catriona Gray, alongside Rustan's bigwigs.

From CHANEL to Anastasia Beverly Hills, it was like stepping into beauty nirvana. And let's talk about that Fragrance Library - a sniff and you’d find yourself traipsing through memories and dreams, picking out the perfect scent for any mood.
Cocktails in hand, beauty aficionados buzzed from stall to stall, mingling with brand reps and friends. The buzz was infectious! Interactive games and goodies were everywhere. For instance, Laura Mercier's claw machine? It bested me despite my best efforts. But, redemption was sweet as I scored big at L’Occitane's mini golf.
No glam night is complete without the flash of cameras. Guests posed, twirled, and sparkled in front of the Glam Bot. Live melodies from the Manila String Machine Orchestra and Bea Tantoco floated in the air, and the Halili Dance Group's elegant moves added just the right touch of class.
But the party didn't stop there! With Renee Dominique crooning and DJs dropping beats, the night danced on. And the cherry on top? Rustan’s holiday treats and promotions! Special shoutout to that oh-so-chic Kate Spade jewelry box - totally on my wishlist!
