Seven local hand sanitizers that you can buy along with your makeup
The ongoing pandemic has made alcohol and sanitizers essential to our lives. It’s something that we always need to have on hand to help protect us as we go about our day. Making sure we have our stash full is now more convenient as beauty brands release their own versions. We can shop for our beauty products and sanitizing essentials in one stop!
Bench
From clothes, to makeup, and now to sanitizing essentials: Bench is a pretty convenient one-stop shop. The Alcogel Hand Sanitizer has a Classic (P160 for 500ml, P250 for 750ml) and a Vitamin E (P190 for 500ml, P280 for 750ml) variant. I think this has been around for a while now but both the Tackle & Blast Alcohol Solution and the Fight & Zap Alcohol Solution are new. These are available in convenient 50ml sprays (P39) with 1L refills (P189). If you want to stock up, there’s also the Ultimate Clean Scented Alcohol (P560) that is available per gallon.
blk Cosmetics
Early this year, blk cosmetics launched the blk scents K-Beauty Hand Detox (P149). This moisturizing hand sanitizer is a mix of practicality and vanity. Formulated with 70% alcohol, the product also refreshes with the fragrance of Lily or Jasmine. You can try out the two variants in the blk scents K-Beauty Hand Detox Duo (P298), or get the Hand Detox in a set paired with a blk scents Body Mist. The Duo comes with a free flower pouch that makes carrying our sanitizers easy and chic.
Ellana Cosmetics
The F*Off Germs Sanitize Everything Alcohol Spray (P120 for two) sums up everything we feel during this pandemic. Despite the harsh name, the product is gentle on the hands because of the Tea Tree Oil and Aloe Vera to avoid dryness. This only comes in a duo, but you can never have too much alcohol these days.
Happy Skin
After the release of their #GoodForYouSkincare line, Happy Skin followed up with the Clean Slate Moisturizing Hand Purifying Sanitizer Spray (P159). The 70% alcohol content takes care of the germs while the Aloe Vera and Glycerin takes care of the moisture. They also added Lavender fragrance for a relaxing scent.
Penshoppe
Like other fashion retail brands, Penshoppe has long expanded their products beyond clothing. In 2019, they delved into makeup and recently, into sanitizers. They have a Hand Sanitizer Gel in 30ml (P29) for convenience and 300ml (P109) for refills. There's also a Foaming Hand Sanitizer (P89) that is recommended for sensitive and dry skin and the 75% Alcohol Hand Sanitizer Spray (P39 for 50ml, P99 for 300ml, P269 for 1L). All products have a Clean Citrus and Fresh Fruity variant, with an additional Cool Green and Sweet Floral variant for the 75% Alcohol Hand Sanitizer Spray.
Pili Ani
Known for their use of Elemi oil in their products, Pili Ani also included this ingredient in their Clean & Green Alco-Sanitizer (P299). This made the sanitizer noticeably non-drying that you'd want to constantly bring it along with you. The Clean & Green Alco-Sanitizer with Accessories (P380) set is a portable refillable spritzer version that has a silicone case and key ring.
VMV Hypoallergenics
Long before any other makeup brand has launched their sanitizers, VMV already has one: the Grandma Minnie's Kid Gloves Monolaurin Moisturizing "Make-It-Cleaner" Hand Gel (P480 for 75ml, P840 for 185ml). As part of their Mom & Baby collection, we love that this product is safe for use on babies as well.
