The Weekly Haul: Impress, Sephora, About Face, Kylie Lip Kits and more
It's easy to feel overwhelmed at the Project Vanity HQ, because there are a lot of new products and cult favorites that we just can't wait to try out. If you're curious about what's hot in the beauty world, here's the scoop!
Impress by Kanebo is the brand's premium skincare line. Its best seller here in the Philippines is the Impress Lotion, a toner-moisturizer hybrid that softens and prepares the skin for the rest of your skincare products. It's - don't be shocked - P6,000 for a bottle locally. It's quite large (150ml) and comes in such luxurious glass packaging.
It's a donya favorite I heard, which is why a lot of secret hauling came to play when Impress released a limited edition box for their 10th anniversary. The box contains a full-sized Lotion, and super generous travel sized Emulsion, Cleansing Cream, and Creamy Soap. The whole box is worth about P11,000+, but is selling for only P6,000. It's practically like you bought the Lotion and got a crazy GWP deal.

Sephora also sent over their featured Mario Badescu products for April. I got the Elbow & Heel Soothing Cream, Summer Shine Body Lotion, and Eye Make-Up Remover Gel. The lotion is twinkly - I love it! I feel like Edward haha, but in a totally cool way.
AboutFace.PH, the newest local online store selling hard-to-find Korean beauty products, practically sent over the whole store. Not really though. They have 72 SKUs, so many to choose from! What I like about the store is that there are brands we've never heard of before, but they are all dermatologist-approved. One of the owners is a derma who found brands like Proud Mary, Nots, and April Skin in her travels abroad.
I'm super duper intrigued by the Proud Mary Ampoules for different skin problems, Nots makeup (pricey but oh-so-good so far), and Glam 21 crayons. Have you heard of these brands before? I have not but initial swatches prove that they're quite good.
Beauty Bar also sent over some of their latest items from Smashbox. There's this Camera Ready BB Water with SPF30, new Matte lippies under the Be Legendary Lipstick line, and the Photo Angle Pure Pigment Gel Liner. The BB Water does feel fluid and light, just the thing for summer! The Gel Liner has a fine rubber tip like Benefit's liner.
I love Smashbox so you can count on a review and look with these!
Beauty Bar also has a skincare line called Doll Face. Haven't seen it before, which is a shame because the packaging is beautiful! I've got the Illuminating Face Polish, Clarify Balancing Tonic, and the Triple Action Under Eye Serum. The names and look are straight from the 50's, no?
And finally, so so so excited to try the Kylie Lip Kits! Bebang Online Store has stocks. They sent over 22 and Posie K, and they have a lot more shades available at the moment. Since these lippies sell out in 30 seconds after restocking, the price is of course higher than retail (P2,500) but if you really want 'em then this is how you get 'em. Swatches next week!
