The Pink Sugar x Project Vanity collab launch + winners announced

We’ve been keeping the Pink Sugar x Project Vanity collaboration under wraps for a while now and after months of holding back, it feels soooo good that the secret is finally out! We’re incredibly proud of how the lippies turned out, and extremely grateful for the trust that Pink Sugar has given Project Vanity. Here’s how last Thursday looked like when These Lips Don’t Lie was launched to the world!

It was really more of an intimate, casual hang out of makeup lovers more than anything. Bloggers and media partners joined us and the Pink Sugar team at the Grand Café at Chelsea for lunch and a swatch party. The merry mix of makeup talk, good food and the company of fellow beauty lovers was enough to get the party going but it was also fun to hear from the people who made this all happen.

When Pink Sugar’s Laveen and Rohit Mirpuri introduced their first collection of products to Liz, the first thing she asked them was, “You’re in the Philippines and there are no brow products. How?!” The brothers got to work and came out with the Honey, I'm Good Brow Gel earlier this year. Now they have something new for those who love the look of soft yet artfully defined brows.

The Honey I’m Good Brow Kits (P399) contain a creamy, pigmented brow wax and three powders that you can mix, match, or layer for the contoured brow look. It comes in two shades that are perfect for Filipinas – Sassy Brown and Perfect Taupe.

There are also three new additions to our PV-favorite Pink Sugar HD Lipsticks (P299). Wicked is a muted mauve, Sinful is the classic MLBB pink with brown undertones, and Butter is a warm pink nude. These are everyday wearable shades that would be perfect for ladies who shy away from loud colors.

It felt a little nerve-wracking as we waited to see how guests would react to our lip crayons, so we felt pretty kilig when the oohs and aahs over arm swatches were soon followed by guests excitedly wearing them! Everyone praised the creamy, richly-pigmented, matte formula. Woke Up Like This came out as the runaway winner, but all four shades had backers of their own.

We’d like to thank everyone who came and celebrated the launch with us! And of course, this wouldn’t have happened without you, dear Project Vanity readers, who’ve supported us every step of the way. Keep your fingers crossed that this isn’t the last of the #PinkSugarxProjectVanity partnership (which the men of Pink Sugar fondly call as "Project Sugar")!

#Flatlays are hard work, seriously. Luckily, we had plenty of natural light streaming in from the windows!

And we're spreading the love: three lucky PV readers are the proud new owners of a set of These Lips Don’t Lie lippies each! Congratulations to @riality, @lianpchong and @chloekintanar! To claim your prizes, please just reply to the DM we will send you on Instagram. ^_^

Have you tried our lippies already? Which shades are your faves?
