First Impressions + Full Swatches: The new Endlezz G(anda) Collection from Vice Cosmetics

When Vice Cosmetics recently released their Endlezz G Collection, they didn’t have just undertones and skin tones in mind. They have also taken the step to including the spectrum of ages that enjoy makeup and the different lifestyles they lead. For me, the Endlezz G launch plays into the understanding that beauty is for all no matter what your reality, hobbies, and physique may be because beauty is whatever form and function you want it to be.

With that, Vice launched a line of base products and tools that claims to be able to keep up with your day-to-day activities. This includes the Aqua Grip Soothing Primer (P295), Soft Filter Translucent Powder (P395), and eight shades of the Dream Focus Weightless Foundation (P395). They also have a new Buff & Blend Foundation Brush (P295) and two Blending Sponges (P295) that come in a teardrop shape for Perfection and an angled sponge for Precision.

Apprehensive is the perfect way to sum up how I felt about trying this launch because I don’t believe in primers, I have a fear of foundations, and powders have never been my strong suit. Luckily, I was able to play around with these goodies and wanted to share my first impressions with them!

Starting with clean and prepped skin, I applied the Aqua Grip Soothing Primer (P295). I am not one for primers because I prefer keeping my skin as light as possible and primers tend to have a bit of weight to it in order to have that tackiness to help in blurring the skin, providing a smooth surface to apply makeup, and adding to the longevity of it all.

I am happy to report that this comes in a water-based formula that is similar to a lightweight gel moisturizer but still offers that tackiness you are looking for in a primer! It did not add any noticeable weight to my face and worked beautifully under the foundation. but before we begin, here are some unfiltered swatches of the Dream Focus Weightless Foundation on my arm and cheek.

Moving on to the Dream Focus Weightless Foundation (P395), I will start by saying that I am quite impressed with this product. From the fact that the lightest and darkest shades can be mixer shades to adjust your other base shades, to the sleek and functional packaging, and most importantly - its formula.

Happy to report that this was love at first swipe and has opened my heart to possibly trying other foundations! With a lightweight formula, seamless blendability, instant coverage, and a demi-matte finish - it really checks all the boxes for what I look for in a base product.

I mixed a pump of the shade Medium and a pump of the shade Tan and it ended up being a perfect match but because of its buildable formula, I can easily suit either of the two shades on their own.

To sculpt my face, I decided to use the shade Tan for my contour and Light Medium 3 to conceal and highlight parts of my face. They blend onto the skin so seamlessly even as I layer on more product!

Not really a fan of powder because I never know if I am using too much or not applying enough but I was really curious to see how the Soft Filter Translucent Powder works with the rest of the line so I decided to tap some onto my undereyes to set and brighten the area. As you can see, it is ashy on my under eye area. I think this works better for those with lighter skin.

I completed the rest of the look and all the products worked beautifully under all of the other goodies I packed on! No budging or moving around and nothing was being disrupted. Also want to mention that I did not add any highlighter (which pained me) because I wanted to see how demi-matte the foundation was.

Now, let us get into the tools! I have not used a beauty sponge in a while so I haven’t gotten around to testing out the Blending Sponges but makeup artist Jelly Eugenio vouches for the quality so there is that!

The Buff & Blend Foundation Brush (P295) on the other hand is oh so handy! From its slightly angled handle to the diamond shape it has, it makes tapping into all the curves of your face so easy. The soft bristle also offers a comfortable and seamless application to the products! Used it for both the foundation and the contour and it just blended out the product like a dream.

After a little over nine hours of a busy WFH day, here is how the products held up:

  • Top left - taken with the Instagram camera in indoor lighting and I did not see much of a difference from the pictures I took in the morning

  • Top right - taken with the Instagram camera in indoor lighting with flash and I could see a bit of greyness peeking by my under eyes.

  • Bottom left - taken on my phone’s front camera with flash and the under eyes are definitely a very different tone than the rest of my face.

  • Bottom right - taken on my phone’s back camera with flash and we can definitely see the flash back under the eyes but the foundation really held on! Even the shade Deep for cheek and nose contour and the shade Light Medium 3 used as nose highlight were still intact.

I will have to put this to the test in the outside world but nonetheless, this collection has definitely put down my apprehension towards foundations. The entire collection is now available on their website, Shopee, Lazada, and in-stores and I highly recommend this for beginners and people looking for a lightweight and comfortable base routine!
