Commenter of the Month for March and April gift
Sorry this took a while! But I'm sure you'll love what I managed to secure as the prize. First things first - the commenter of the month for March is none other than Khristine. She wins a Bobbi Brown lip gloss and eyeshadow from the brand's newest Lilac and Rose Collection. Congratulations, Khristine! Please email me your address.
For this month, I am giving away a mini Pinkbox Dream Mirror worth P3,500. It's a double-sided table top accessory organizer! It's actually pretty big! You can even store your favorite lipsticks and blushes on one side and then place your bracelet, rings, and necklaces on the other. <3
I'm hiring!
Hi guys. I feel sad today because my assistant is leaving me. :( I'm working on a campaign shoot, a brand relaunch, and various other projects so I need all the help I can get. I don't have anyone top of mind for this position, so I'm announcing it publicly.
I'm looking for an assistant who can work with me part-time. She will be helping me manage my clients' social media pages, write press releases, and coordinate with suppliers. Most of this work can be accomplished at home, but she will need to be available to assist in my meetings and events when needed.
Win a trip to New York from Bobbi Brown
Last night I dreamed that Bobbi Brown herself did my makeup. No kidding. It was a fantastic look and I did a lot of selfies, of course! I wonder what it would be like if I met Bobbi for real. She is someone I look up to, and love quoting whenever people ask me why makeup is important.
I believe that every woman is pretty with makeup - but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful. Bobbi Brown
Anyway, I would like to invite you to join an awesome contest by the brand. Simply submit your unique Pretty Powerful Beauty Story on the local Bobbi Brown Facebook page for a chance to win a trip to New York with a friend! This contest is actually on an international level with 11 countries participating. It's part of the Pretty Powerful Campaign, as it celebrates the beauty of real women from a variety of backgrounds through their inspiring stories, photos and videos.

Capsule reviews: Majolica Majorca Secret Blink Collection
It feels only yesterday when Majolica Majorca arrived in the Philippines, but did you know that it's been here for two years now? So much kawaii cuteness has been unleashed in that short amount of time! There's always something new to collect every quarter. ;) Now that the Japanese brand is celebrating its 10th year this 2013, expect even more covetable items than usual.
Majolica Majorca has recently released its Spring Collection for 2013. Named Secret Blink, it's all about giving in to the whispers of your heart, of bold secrets that you can't dare speak of. Majo has always been an incurable romantic when it comes to its collections and that won't be changing anytime soon! Secret Blink features a limited edition rose gold case for the Skin Remaker, a Majoromantica scent, lash conditioner, new mascara, and a collectible palette.
I have three items from the collection, so here are quick reviews and swatches for you!
The Lash Expander was the first item I tried from Majolica Majorca, before the brand arrived here. I loved it because it lengthened my lashes and didn't smudge at all. This 2013, the Lash Expander shall be phased out and replaced with the improved Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister (P795).
New brand alert: essence is now in Manila!
I was trawling Mall of Asia yesterday with my mom when I saw a stall I have never seen before. I asked the sales lady when it arrived and she said it's been there since February 16! The brand website doesn't offer much information, but it's pretty obvious that the products are targeted towards tweens and teenagers (Justin Beiber for the win!).
Presenting, essence, a drugstore cosmetics brand from Germany. It's now in the Philippines!
The enormous display drew me in but the prices kinda blew my mind. Most of the items were being sold for under P250, with the cheapest going for as low as P79 a piece. Not bad eh? I swatched a few products and found them okay for the price. Not too bad but not "omg gotta have this" good (at that time).
Eyeshadow singles for P119
Project Vanity x pureDKNY Drop of Rose Contest: P30,000 worth of prizes!
The rose has symbolized many things through the centuries - eternal love, secrecy, unity, and even the turmoil of revolution. For you, a rose might have a more personal meaning. It may not even be something that you consciously choose; but when you enjoy a rose, you will forever be reminded of that soft first kiss or a memorable evening that could have happened years ago but is still fresh on your mind today.
That is the beauty of flowers. That's why we try to preserve them no matter how fleeting their lifespans are.
That said, DKNY has finally bottled their own version of this romantic flower's scent. Called pureDKNY Drop of Rose, they have created something akin to a garden full of blooming roses, with verdant green notes growing in the background as the fragrance deepens. If you love the pureDKNY line or just a fan of roses, this is something you must sniff stat!
So! I have an exciting bit of news. DKNY has chosen Project Vanity to host a massive contest for their newest fragrance. We are giving away P30,000 worth of prizes to the lucky person who can make a creative, romantic video that shows the pureDKNY Rose's elegance and timelessness.
Here are the mechanics!

Commenter of the Month for February and March gift
Hope you're having a great Saturday so far! I'm off to a tea party later so that should be fun. If time permits I'll shoot a tutorial for this look I wanna try out. ;) Anyway! The Commenter of the Month for February is couchpotato_md. Please email your name and shipping address as soon as you read this.
And now, for the March prize! I'm giving away a lip gloss and eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown's latest collection called Lilac and Rose.
I'm already jealous of whoever is winning this duo! The Lilac and Rose Collection features fresh, modern shades of the eponymous flowers. I love the concept of the heather gray-lilac palette, and the Lilac Gloss (which I'm giving away) is such a wearable almost magenta shade.
Project Vanity: Five Years of Vanity Event
A lot of readers have requested me to do a meet and greet in the past, and I want to do one too because - what else - I want to meet you! Some of you guys have been reading this blog since the beginning, and you can't believe how much I'm choking up just thinking about that. It's been five years of vanity, of learning, and sharing how we could be better women both inside and out. Half a decade, huh? I want to do something special to celebrate that with you guys.
I've been thinking how to do this for quite a while, and I finally figured it out. What if I did it in one of my favorite places in the world, with some of my favorite beauty brands? And that's when my brain went ding ding ding! Haha. Presenting, the Project Vanity: Five Years of Vanity Event!
It will be held at Beauty Bar Bonifacio High Street (on top of Muji) on March 9, 2-4pm and will be co-sponsored by K-Palette, Fairydrops, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and of course Beauty Bar. It will be a fun afternoon of mingling with other beauty enthusiasts, coffee, and freebies! I will be doing a demonstration showing a quick but high-impact everyday look, and of course I'll be doing a Q&A on all your beauty concerns. It's like Ask Liz! live and on crack. ;)
It keeps me up but it keeps me going
I was thinking, if only I could get past February then I can relax and laugh all the way to the bank. But my March is starting to fill up with more events to organize, more work to accomplish. I thought it wasn't possible to get this busy! The only times I get to eat is if I'm at a meeting! Aw. (Now if only all my meetings were in a vegan resto or something, I won't have to worry about my waistline.)
Someone asked me how I'm still able to blog even with everything on my plate. I have thought about leaving Project Vanity for a while, just until work eases up a little.
Project Vanity x Ford "Say I Love You" Winners
Hi folks! I finally have the winners! :) They are Kitti Banzon and Tara Cagadoc. They've scored for themselves a chauffered lunch date in Tagaytay in the All New Ford Focus. Yay! See you on the 23rd then! The agency will get in touch with you soon.
See their sweet entries here. <3
Featured on Mega February 2013 issue
I've started a few sentences, erased them all. I guess what I really want to say is that I'm speechless. I knew this feature was coming (I got interviewed after all!) but it's so surreal to finally see it in print. I, along with fellow beauty bloggers Shen and Martha, were featured in Mega's February 2013 issue.
Love this cover btw! This is illustrated by the same people who draws the Archie comics. Are you excited for the MAC Archie's Girls collection?
My face right now: ^_^ Thanks so much to Max Ignacio for the write-up! Sara Garces, girl, I adore you for taking the scans even though you're busy. Click after the jump to see the full transcript of the interview (if you're interested teehee).

Buzz: Majolica Majorca Lash King Price Slash, Mane Style Series, Snoe Gives Love
Hi folks! I found some bits of news that I hope you'd find interesting. :) Majolica Majorca is having a price slash on their best-selling mascara, Lash King! Please read my review to know how awesome it is.
For The Big Majolica Majorca Face off, the brand is having a mascara challenge that will show how great Lash King is and how it will compare to your favorite mascara. Customers can take the challenge on Feb 8-10 in SM Makati and also on Feb22-24 in SM North Edsa.
Also, on these dates, Lash King will go on sale for only P499 (from P795). This is almost 40% OFF! And then you can even get a 20% off coupon for your next purchase. The discounted Lash King price is applicable in all Majolica Majorca outlets on these dates.
Commenter of the Month for January and February gift
This was a difficult decision as there are about four regular, wonderful commenters who are all equally deserving of the Charm vegan brush set. However I only have one set to give away, so I did a raffle to decide who wins this round. And it's Maybelle Guzman. :) Congratulations Maybelle! Please email me your address so I can have your gift shipped.
For February I'm going to give away products from a brand that I love to distraction. It's Fairydrops! Cheryl, the distributor, is once again generous enough to sponsor three of her brand's best-selling and most coveted items: the Fairydrops Candy Bar BB Cream (my fave BB cream), Volume Burst Mascara, and the non-waterproof version of VB in the pink tube. Read my reviews to see just how well these products perform. ;)
Whoever wins this will have fabulous skin and lashes for the next few months, indeed. Now please don't forget to like the Fairydrops Philippines Facebook Page to catch updates and promos!
Hot from L'Oreal: Lucent Magique, Color Riche, Revitalift
I've read good things about the L'Oreal Lucent Magique Liquid Foundation (or Lumi Magique in the US) and I'm so happy to announce that it's finally here in Manila! Lucent Magique is all about "light-infusion" or brightening, but without the obvious accompanying shimmer. I immediately used the foundation as soon as I got it, and mark my words, I sniff a new favorite low-cost base!
The liquid foundation is only P845. Very, very affordable yet it feels so high end. It reminds me of the Lancome Teint Miracle, actually. Same finish but the Lancome I think is more long-lasting.
Another interesting product is the Lucent Magique Concealer Pen. It's only P545 and works much like my favorite Clinique Airbrush Concealer, although the peg is the YSL Touche Eclat.
