Hot from K-Palette: The 1 Day Magic Series for the prettiest eyes and cheeks
K-Palette has been a staple in my makeup kit every since it launched about two or three years ago here in the Philippines. I'm sure you've seen all the beauty bloggers and editors rave about it. You might be thinking, this brand of eyeliners, brow pens, and mascaras can't possibly be THAT good - but my dears, the raves are justified. From being an unknown Japanese brand brought in by a stylish couple, it has now attracted a loyal following among makeup enthusiasts and artists alike!
It shouldn't have been able to do that considering how little K-Palette is known here in the Philippines. It's a popular drugstore brand in Japan, yes, but it wasn't advertised here in the PH outside of sending products to beauty influencers for their consideration. Everyone simply loves the stuff, how easy they are to use, and how fair the prices are compared to Japan.
From a marketing standpoint, K-Palette is a good case study, if you ask me.
Anyway! I just want to show you some pics from the launch of K-Palette's latest line: the 1 Day Magic Series! It features a double-ended Fiber Mascara (with fiber fluff OMG), a 3D Palette for eyes and cheeks, a new Liquid Eyeliner, and an Eyeglue Liquid.
How cute is the new pastel packaging? According to the distributors, this will not replace the existing 1 Day Tattoo Series - 1 Day Magic has different products, some slightly altered but not the same as the original. I'll talk about the new items in more detail next time, but for now, here's what happened at the event last week!
Karrots Nazareno, our lovely Tita K, hosted the magical pastel-styled event. She did such a great job! She told me before that she had stage fright but I never believed that. Way to go Tita K!
The woman of the hour, Cheryl Tan Chua! She and her husband Rich brought K-Palette to the PH. Did you know that Cheryl discovered the brand by accident? Long story but it ended so well for everyone.
Japanese makeup artist Sayaka Nagashima demonstrated the new products on a lovely model. She doesn't speak English so Aisaku Yokogawa, the lively male translator, explained what Ms Sayaka was saying.
Eric Mana then went up the stage to do a cool magic show. It was really fun - everyone was amazed by his illusions! On stage is mommy Shen and K-Palette founder Mr. Eiji Kinoshita.
Aaaand here are your friendly neighbourhood beauty bloggers. I was feeling a little emotional during this event because almost everybody was here! We've known each other for years now, but recently it's kinda rare to for us to be in one place. Everyone's just so busy! It was great to catch up with the girls. An event where we're all invited happens just every one or two months (or even more that sometimes).
Let me end this post with the Kilay Queen herself! Haha. I love this picture. I'm so glad I got to know Cheryl outside of her brand - aside from working together a couple of times, she gives me excellent life and business advice. I learn so much from her! ^_^ I'm happy that we're friends because honestly, it's a challenge for me to bond with other people. She's awesome.
Congratulations to the K-Palette team for pulling off such a fun event!
K-Palette is available inside Beauty Bar and Rustan's.
