Such a cute pink: 3CE Dangerous Matte Lip Color in Tell The Truth

3 Concept Eyes is a Korean brand that I've been hearing about for a while now. I wonder if it's ever going to open in the Philippines? It seems popular enough and the products are fascinating! I love the edgy chic feel of the brand although it's a bit expensive.

For my first ever 3CE product, I grabbed the 3 Concept Eye Pink Rumour Dangerous Matte Lip Color in Tell The Truth (P850 in Althea). It's a bright candy pink with a matte finish. I love the color - I haven't been wearing bright pinks at all but this is really pretty! I get asked what it is every time I wear Tell The Truth as it's such a striking shade.

I am not too happy about the texture though. As mattes go, this lippie is especially hard. You will literally see in the photo how it kind of flakes right in the tube after application. It's not at all forgiving on dry lips so a thorough exfoliation is in order every time you intend to wear it. Layering a lip balm underneath actually changes the color. It becomes a softer, daintier pink which is still beautiful, but if you want the original loud matted pink then lip balm is not an option.

So yes, the 3 Concept Eye Pink Rumour Dangerous Matte Lip Color while beautiful in terms of shade and packaging is not the best matte formula out there. Sad but I'd still keep it around for whenever I want that bright Korean pink lip. It's just too pretty!
