Who’s ready for some fresh beauty news? This week’s roundup is ready to be served, filled with new local drops, plus a couple of sales you wouldn’t want to miss! Let’s check out the vibrant new eyeshadows from the Issy Cosmetics x Slo Lopez collaboration. Could the new SOLA Daily Screen be your new SPF buddy? We also have everything you need to know about the Sephora PH Beauty Pass Sale and Inglot PH farewell clearance sale.

Vibrant eye looks with Issy x Slo Lopez collection

Everyone was taken by surprise and delight with the release of local beauty brand Issy Cosmetics’ latest collection in collaboration with Slo Lopez. Known for her creative editorial looks, makeup artist Sylvina ‘Slo’ Lopez has been Issy’s Creative Visionary since 2023. Indeed, the 24 new eyeshadow shades in matte and duochrome finishes are a vision to behold, with a unique color selection that will make you want to explore new eye looks. These are available as curated eyeshadow palettes in Scream (mattes) and Surreal (duochromes) with 12 shades each for P999, or as individual eyeshadow pans for only P149 each.

There are a total of 12 matte eyeshadow singles in the new launch. The bold, bright shades include Hazard (yellow), Edgy (red), Subdue (beige), Blanc (white), Ultraviolet (indigo), Pool (blue), Squirt (cerulean), Arsenic (green), Nightshade (violet), Create (purple), Shock (magenta), and Plastic (pink).

Drawn to sparkle? The 12 new shimmer and duochrome eyeshadows can be used individually or layered together. The duochrome shifter shades include Chameleon (shifting camouflage), Metamorphosis (holographic butterfly), Shapeshift (acidic lemonade), and Delirium (pink flare). The foiled neutral shades include Alloy (sparkly rosé), Patina (oxidized bronze), Fool’s Gold (iridescent mineral), and Lurex (metallic yarn). Vivid electric metal shades include Electronica (magnetic cobalt), Absinthe (green fairy), Monarch (gilded crown), and Enamour (feverish rose quartz).

The collection also includes Color-enhancing Eyeshadow Base (P299), which comes in Black and White. The opaque formula combines the benefits of an eye primer with a color shifter, priming the lids while enhancing eyeshadow color and wear time. You already have plenty of color options with the 24 blendable eyeshadow shades, but combined with this base you increase your eye color options exponentially!

The collection was only launched on June 24th, but as of writing just a few days later, both the Scream and Surreal Palettes have both sold out online! Looks like being creative, ambitious, and brave has paid off for homegrown brand Issy. Fingers crossed, they will replenish stocks by next week.

New SOLA Daily Screen SPF 50+/PA++++

Last April, we introduced you to SOLA Foundation Primer, a tinted sunscreen that works well as a makeup base. Recently, the brand released another Korea-made sunscreen. Meet  SOLA Daily Screen SPF 50+/PA++++ (P145 for 7mL/ P595 for 30mL), a lightweight yet moisturizing sunscreen with a demi-matte finish.

Brand ambassador CK De Leon loves how nourishing yet light the watery cream formula feels on her skin. She also swears that her skin improved with consistent use. And no wonder, as it is formulated with Korean Black Ginseng, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid. Combined with broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection with SPF 50+, this definitely can work as a moisturizer and sunscreen in one.

My sample-loving heart fluttered when I saw that it was also available as a travel mini in a resealable packet. This is also a great choice for those who want to try the formula out without committing to a full bottle. SOLA Daily Screen SPF 50+ PA++++ is available in official SOLA stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.

Inglot bids PH farewell with a massive clearance sale

It is with a heavy heart that I report, European beauty brand Inglot is leaving the Philippines for good. Fret not, you can still stock up on your makeup faves as the brand hosts a final clearance sale with unbelievable deals.

Your eyes do not deceive you. Yes, some items can be purchased for as low as P100 each, and discounts can go up to 70% off! Check out their social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for more details and a complete list of available products. As of writing, interested buyers need to sign up to schedule a visit to their location in San Juan City.

And that’s it for this week’s beauty news roundup! Hope to see you on the next one, too!
