How do you get #ReadyInFive?

A few weeks ago, actress Gabbi Garcia dropped a hint on Instagram about what’s been keeping her busy. She posted a short video showing her doing a very quick make-up retouch with what looks like a multi stick for the lips and cheeks, tagging the brand Five Beauty Co. Their very intriguing slogan promises “Hybrid beauty for every wear,” hinting that their color makeup products would also have skin-caring benefits. Teaser posts also indicate that the products are designed and formulated in London.

Last Wednesday, our very own writer Rae attended the brand launch last November 15th, and we got a preview of their Hybrid Colour Stick! It can be used on lips, cheeks, and eyes, with SPF20+ broad spectrum protection. Five Beauty Co. products officially launch in the Philippines on December 1st, but you can get dibs on their Hybrid Colour Stick from November 27-30 on Lazada!

New Hada Labo moisturizers

I remember being so happy when Japan’s #1 hydrating lotion or toning essence officially came to the Philippines. I have personally tried both white and blue Hada Labo Lotions, and I came to personally favor their Premium Whitening line (blue bottle). I heard from fellow writer Katsy that they released new moisturizers from that line in two formulas: Cream and Gel. Both are formulated with Niacinamide, Alpha-Arbutin, and Vitamin C, making the moisturizers a brightening triple threat! Make sure to follow Project Vanity for more info on the new Hada Labo products.

Jo Malone’s delicious holiday offerings

It has been said that scents are heavily intertwined with our memories and emotions. What better way to bring back our favorite Christmas memories than sweet-smelling body and home Jo Malone London fragrances? This year, the brand takes inspiration from Gingerbread Land, with limited-edition releases such as Gingerbread Biscuit, Orange Bitters, Pine & Eucalyptus, and Green Almond & Red Currant. Holiday gift sets with their bestsellers and an advent calendar are also available in-store and on Lazada. Aside from the holiday-exclusive scents, I also appreciate the switch from the classic packaging (cream box and black ribbon) to the adorable gingerbread brown box with peppermint red and green bows. You can also cop some gift-ready sets with sample gifts are also available on Lazada until November 18th.

Personalized, sustainable gifting with The Body Shop

Fans of The Body Shop already know that the brand goes all out with their holiday gift sets. This year, they stepped up their game with new fruity scents - Cherries & Cheer and Pears & Share. They also released their own aptly-named advent calendar, the Advent of Change (P4,995) which contains 24 little gifts. Each online purchase of the advent calendar gets you a free gift worth P795! Their holiday sets for 2023 all come in a vanity case that can be personalized with the receiver’s name for free (for online orders).

Rumour has it: Adele is setting up her own brand

A few days ago, it was reported by The Mirror that Adele has acquired the trademark for the business name “The Shelbourne Collective” in the United Kingdom. It was registered for “specialised design activities” which can encompass quite a range of business activities. Media outlets were quick to speculate that it would involve cosmetics, with fans hoping for eye makeup products to replicate the singer’s signature smoky eye look. Even Forbes.com has picked up on the story. All I ask (see what I did there?)  is that if she ever does start a beauty line, that it will be locally accessible! Keeping my fingers crossed!

And that’s it for this week’s Beauty Roundup! Stay tuned for even more beauty news next week. See you then!
