Beauty Roundup: Blk Soft Blur Blushes, Issy Mini Palettes, Avon in Watsons, and L'Oréal Paris Makeup back at SM Beauty

It’s time for another all-local beauty news roundup! This time, it’s gonna be a mix of something old and something new. Let’s take a look at the new Blk Soft Blur Blushes, and the newest addition to Issy Cosmetics’ refillable palettes: the Mini Palette. Avon partners with Watsons and is now available at your one-stop beauty shop nationwide! And, last but definitely not the least, the much-beloved L'Oréal Paris Makeup makes a comeback to SM Beauty.

New Blk Soft Blur Blush

Yes, we are still very much in the year of the blush! Blk Cosmetics’ newest addition of the Soft Blur Blush (P399) dropped as the brand closed the celebration of their birthday month. They also launched a retractable Kabuki Cheek Brush (P349), the perfect partner for the new cheek colors. The talc-free, silky powders yield buildable color with a soft-blur finish. These skin-perfecting blushes are infused with primer, ensuring up to 12-hour wear.

There are a total of ten (10) shades: eight (8) blushes, one (1) bronzer, and one (1) contour. Looking for a warm flush? Go for Bonbon, Croffle, Shortcake, or Taffy. If you prefer a cool-toned blush, you might like Funfetti, Macaron, Souffle, or Jam.

For that warm, sun-kissed glow, try the bronzer shade Churro. Create believable face contours when you use cool-toned Truffle.

New Issy Mini Palette

Do you have Issy face color inserts and single eyeshadow pans? Just this week, Issy dropped a new palette size that’s in between their first Regular Palette (P299) and the cutie Micro Palette (P199). If you need something more travel friendly than the Regular Palette, and something bigger than the Micro Palette, the Mini Palette (P249) would be the best option for you.

It might be called ‘Mini’ but it sure can pack a punch! It can house up to eight (8) single eyeshadow singles, 2 big face inserts, and 4 small face inserts. Or, you can mix and match for a full face palette with your choice of eyeshadows and face inserts! Regardless of how you build your own Issy Mini Palette, it’s a great middle ground between the previous sizes, perfectly sized for toting about wherever you may go.

Avon is now at Watsons

Yes, you read that right! You can now get your fill of Avon beauty products at Watsons stores nationwide. Starting this October, you can shop Avon at up to 500(!!!) Watsons branches, with more locations to come in the following months. This move came about as the brand acknowledges that consumers have widened their horizons on how they shop beauty products. Since both Avon and Watsons have a “Beauty for all” commitment, the partnership makes perfect sense. “We are excited to partner with Watsons, a prominent name in health and beauty retail here in the Philippines,” says Vanee Gosiengfiao, general manager of Avon Philippines. “This expansion is a significant step in making Avon’s products more accessible to all Filipinos, ensuring that they can easily find their favorite world-class Avon beauty products in a Watsons store near them.

This also marks Avon’s commitment to their customers worldwide. Kristof Neirynck, Avon’s global CEO, says: “Our partnership with Watsons is a major milestone for Avon as we continue to expand our omnichannel presence globally. We are committed to evolving and modernizing our approach to meet the diverse needs of our customers in every market. This means integrating digital and physical experiences to offer multiple ways to shop—whether through our amazing Representatives, our eCommerce platforms, or now, through leading retail partners like Watsons."

L'Oréal makeup is back at SM Beauty

A while back, international drugstore beauty brand L'Oréal Paris Makeup quietly made their exit from physical stores, most notably at SM Beauty branches. Yes, they were still available online via Shopee and Lazada, but it just wasn’t the same! I now happily report that the brand is available at SM Beauty again, with the first location at SM North Edsa. It’s time to restock on your old faves (whether it’s the Infallible line, Color Riche lipsticks, or Lash Paradise) and check out new drops like the Panorama Mascara!

And that’s it for this week’s roundup of local beauty news! I hope reading this helped brighten your day, whether it’s with nostalgia or excitement for new beauty releases. I’ll be back again next week. See you then!
