Swatches: The blk Creamy All Over Paints

The blk Creamy All Over Paint has been one of my favorite products from the brand since it first came out. It is a multi-use product that is meant to add color to the cheeks, lips, and lids – perfect for saving both time and money! An evolution from the blk Creamy Cheek Paint that was part of their first K-beauty Collection, the Creamy All Over Paint launched in the second K-beauty Collection with the shades, Daffodil (nude) and Peony (pink).

Daffodil still exists to this day as a nude pink shade and is one of their boutique bestsellers alongside Palm Springs, a terracotta pink. That launch was way back in 2019 and now, five years later, the product has sold over half a million units and comes in 15 shades with four new ones. Let’s check out the new shades!

The new collection features mostly fresh pinks with one peachy coral. All of which are reminiscent of spring/summer and are more muted compared to the previously saturated and warmer ones. Check out the Sunkissed Collection I reviewed before here.

The formula is still quite similar to the old releases and I still quite enjoy using them, especially with these new shades. I like how subtle they are yet with enough color to brighten up my look instantly and with just one product. I can also apply with my fingers on the go and I’ve become used to doing my makeup in the car armed with a cushion and just a single blk Creamy All Over Paint. My current favorite is Island Rose but Petal and Summer Sorbet come close. Summer Haze is the lone warm shade that is still pretty but I just tend to favor the cooler ones.

I also prefer using the blk Creamy All Over Paints mostly as blush and eyeshadow as they dry down a bit matte and can be drying on my already dry lips. What I like about it though is that I can still use them on my lips in a pinch. I just pat on with a finger after applying lip balm.

The paddle-foot applicator still retains that wide sloping form that mimics a finger, making it easy to apply if you want full-color.

If you're interested in trying out trending shades, you may want to check out Beach (cool pink) and Summer Time (toasted nude) which are the Online Favorites. Or go for Anne’s choices in either Coast (rosy peach) or Very Berry (rose pink).
